Drones with Headless Mode

Headless mode solves the most common confusion for novice pilots: when the drone turns to face you, it switches sides and the steering goes against intuition.

In this mode, the machine steers relative to the pilot , not its own axis. A stick to the right means to the right of you, no matter which way the drone is turned. Once the piloting is comfortable, most people turn off the mode and fly normally.

Headless mode can be found on Syma , Revell and other hobby copters. It only works reliably if the initial orientation is set correctly before takeoff.
