Tamiya 24032 - 1:24 Honda Prelude XX

Plastic kit of the Japanese car Honda Prelude XX.

Template information

The Honda Prelude became a hit in November 1982, when its second generation, including the top-of-the-line XX model, was launched. The Prelude XX featured retractable headlights built into a sleek, aerodynamic body, a sporty interior, and a tinted sunroof.

Technologically, it was at the very top of its time. It was powered by a 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder engine with 125 horsepower. For that time, the car had an unusually independent four-wheel suspension, with double wishbones at the front.

The optional Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) was first used on this Japanese car, highlighting Honda's advanced engineering skills. It's no wonder the Honda Prelude became an automotive icon of the 1980s.
