Plastic kit of the Soviet World War II heavy tank IS-2 in 1:35 scale.
Template information
The IS-2 was a Soviet heavy tank, developed and used during and after World War II. The IS designation was intended to stand for Iosif Stalin. The IS-2 tanks were a great asset in the fight against the new generation of German tanks, as they had strong passive protection and at the same time considerable firepower. Thanks to the 122 mm cannon, they could destroy practically any enemy tank, which was not the case the other way around. The IS-2 tanks were first used in the conquest of Ukraine. Perhaps their most famous deployment was the battle near Sandomierz, where they clashed with the latest German Tiger II tanks. The IS-2 was used by the Red Army from April 1944 until the final phase of the Battle of Berlin.
