Plastic kit of the Czechoslovak single-engine two-seat trainer aircraft Zlin Z-226B.
Template information
Zlín Z-226 Trainer 6 is a two-seat, single-engine, low-wing, cantilevered low-wing aircraft with a fixed spur-type landing gear. The fuselage of the two-seat, single-engine, low-wing aircraft has a lattice structure. The wing is of all-metal construction. It is intended for flight training, including aerobatics when manned with one or two pilots.
The Zlín Z-226 was created in 1956 as a towing aircraft. It was equipped with a six-cylinder Walter Minon 6-III engine with an output of 118 kW, and a number of technical changes were made to it, including lightening. At the beginning of the serial production of the Trainer 6, the Moravan company produced 4 prototypes of the single-seat Z-226A Akrobat aircraft. In 1963, the Z-226AS Akrobat Special version was developed with a hydraulically adjustable V-500 propeller, which allowed for more efficient use of engine power. In the 1980s, the Z-226T and 226B Trainers became the Z-226M type by installing M-137A engines. A total of 283 Z-226 aircraft of all modifications (military designation C-205) were produced.
