Plastic kit of the American pre-war fighter aircraft Boeing P-26 Peashooter.
Template information
The Boeing P-26 was the first monoplane fighter aircraft to be accepted into service with the United States Air Force. It was the successor to the successful Boeing P-12 fighter biplane. The prototype first flew in 1932. The aircraft was armed with two machine guns and could carry up to 90 kg of bombs.
By World War II, however, the aircraft was already obsolete and was used only as a training platform. It was popular with pilots and earned the nickname Peashooter. It saw combat in China and the Philippines. It was used by several foreign operators, with the Guatemalan Air Force retiring the type in 1957.
