Plastic kit of the French World War II fighter aircraft Morane-Saulnier MS.406C.1.
Template information
The Morane-Saulnier MS.406 was a French monoplane fighter aircraft. At the outbreak of war with Germany in 1939, it was the most numerous fighter in the French Armée de l'Air. Although it was characterized by good handling and maneuverability, its performance was significantly inferior to the Messerschmitt Bf-109E.
Compared to the Bf 109, the Morane was underpowered, slow, poorly armed, and lacked passive protection for critical components. The Morane performed relatively well during the Strange War, but its obsolescence became apparent in the Battle of France.
