Plastic kit of the British WWI Airco DH-2 fighter plane. ProfiPACK edition in 1:48 scale.
Template information
The Airco DH-2 was a British World War I single-seat biplane fighter aircraft designed by Geoffrey de Havilland. The machine was conceptually based on the FE2 type with a push drive arrangement. The relatively compact aircraft was powered by the French rotary seven-cylinder Gnome Monosoupape, later by the Le Rhône 9J engine.
The aircraft's armament consisted of one Lewis machine gun with a drum magazine. At first, the DH-2 appeared to be significantly more agile compared to enemy machines, but with the advent of new German types, it soon lost this advantage, which was reflected in high combat losses. A total of 401 DH2 aircraft were produced.
