Plastic kit of the Soviet fighter jet MiG-21bis, Weekend edition in 1:72 scale.
Information about the prototype
Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (NATO code "Fishbed") is a Soviet supersonic multirole fighter that has been in service since the early 1960s to this day. It has been used by the air forces of more than 30 countries, and in some of them, it is still in service. Over 10,000 units were produced, making it the most and longest-produced supersonic aircraft. It has participated in many armed conflicts, including the Arab-Israeli wars and the Vietnam War.
Series production started in 1959, but the aircraft's development did not end with its introduction to production. MiG-21 aircraft were incorporated into the armed forces of more than fifty countries; from 1961 to 2005, they were also in the service of the Czechoslovak People's Army and later the Army of the Czech Republic. They were produced under license from 1963 to 1972 at Aero Vodochody.
