The Supermarine Seafang was a British carrier-based fighter aircraft powered by a Rolls-Royce Griffon engine. The type was developed by Supermarine shortly after World War II to Air Ministry specifications N.5/45. It was a further development of the famous Supermarine Spitfire and its successor, the Spiteful, from the same company, which was described by British aviation historian Alfred Price as "a too late Spitfire".
