Axial, in collaboration with MotoBilt, has created an officially licensed RC model of the Jeep JT Gladiator with authentic scale details. The scale-finished body with the richest LED lighting and the most details to date is combined with the proven SCX10 III off-road chassis. The model is designed for all expedition enthusiasts, experts in overcoming obstacles, rock trial racers and for anyone looking for top driving characteristics. For off-road driving, the model is equipped with a rigid chassis, multi-link suspension and straight axles. For almost on-the-spot turning, a remote-controlled DIG function (rear axle lock) is included. Spektrum electronics ensure smooth and precise control.
The SCX10 III chassis uses rigid steel profiles that prevent chassis flex and thus improve ride precision. The front suspension is three-point and the rear is four-point, which allows for a large amount of axle swing. The LCXU gearbox runs smoothly thanks to its ball bearings and durable metal gears. The gearbox has a DIG function. The suspension is provided by four oil shock absorbers with an aluminum body and adjustable spring preload. AR45 straight axles are installed. Excellent approach angles are supported by raised bumpers. The appearance of the model is complemented by officially licensed KMC Grenade wheels with a beadlock system without tire gluing and excellent off-road Maxxis Trepador tires.
In addition to the Jeep JT Gladiator body with clear windows, grille, mirrors and other details, the model includes MotoBilt Waypoint-style equipment. There are front and rear bumpers with Baja Designs LP6 lighting and S2 lights on the side rails of the bed. For an even more realistic look, the equipment also includes a 7 kg CO₂ cylinder mock-up and a Hi-Lift jack mounted on the bed.
The model is powered by a DC motor and a Spektrum 40 A ESC. The five-channel receiver is controlled by a three-channel SLT3 transmitter, so if you decide to control the model with a universal Spektrum transmitter, such as the DXC+ (sold separately), you will still have free channels to add additional functions. For precise driving, a digital servo with metal gears is used for steering. The DIG function is also controlled by a smaller servo with metal gears.
The extended chassis with a 353 mm wheelbase, made of steel C-sections, reduces frame flex and increases the precision of the suspension movement. The two-piece chassis design allows for easy wheelbase adjustment. In case you install a different body on the model, you can buy shorter links and the wheelbase will change.
The three-link front suspension design minimizes bump steer, or the change in toe-in when springing. The four-link rear suspension reduces the effects of engine torque and lateral roll when accelerating hard. The suspension features 6mm stainless steel links for durability, as well as stainless steel ball joints.
The AR45 front axle has an off-center differential for increased scale fidelity. The axle also comes with an optional AXI-3012 overdrive, which increases the front axle speed relative to the rear axle.
The Panhard rod bracket on the SCX10 III platform has been redesigned, now in two parts, significantly increasing the strength and durability of this part of the chassis. Thanks to this, it reliably handles even demanding off-road driving.
The LCXU single-speed transmission features ball-bearing shafts and metal gears that ensure reliable performance even in rough terrain or on demanding climbs.
In addition to all-metal internal gears for strength and durability, the LCXU transmission is also equipped with a full set of ball bearings for a smooth and efficient ride.
The SCX10 III chassis cover offers several upper arm mounting options, allowing you to adjust the suspension geometry.
Adjustable oil-filled shocks feature aluminum bodies with a threaded nut for easy spring preload adjustment. These shocks are the perfect combination of range and performance!
The battery compartment is integrated into the side, providing ample space for small racing batteries as well as large 5000mAh trail LiPo batteries. An elastomer strap allows quick access to the battery while keeping it securely in place.
With this function you can lock the rear wheels remotely via the transmitter. The rear axle is either driven or locked and the wheels do not turn. By locking the rear wheels, you radically reduce the turning radius and the model turns almost in place. You will also appreciate the DIG function on steep descents, when it reduces the risk of the model tipping over.
The officially licensed Jeep JT Gladiator scale model body is made of durable polycarbonate and comes painted and assembled. It features the authentic iconic Jeep seven-panel grille, detailed fenders, door handle moldings, hood vents and side mirrors.
The clipless body mounting system is designed to withstand model drops and the look is uncluttered by clips. Simply push the latches from the bottom at the back, front and lift the body off in seconds.
The model is equipped with accessories based on the real MotoBilt Waypoint conversion. There are LED lights, a mock-up of a 7 kg CO₂ cylinder including a Hi-Lift jack mounted on the bed. This realistically crafted equipment gives the model a distinctive look that will attract attention.
The model is equipped with powerful and durable LED lights that ensure better visibility and a realistic experience at night. LEDs in the front bumper and lights, in the rear lights and four side lights on the bed underline the scale design of the model.
Officially licensed KMC Grenade wheels give the Jeep JT Gladiator 4x4 its signature look. The wheels feature a Beadlock system, meaning the tire is not stuck and can be easily replaced by unscrewing the ring.
Maxxis Trepador tires, made from Axial's soft compound, offer excellent grip and a distinctive look. The robust tread pattern and side knobs provide reliable traction, preparing the Gladiator for riding in difficult terrain and on rocks.
Simple and reliable electronics are installed with a waterproof* 40 A controller, a DC motor, two digital servos with metal gears and a 5-channel receiver with a 3-channel transmitter.
The transmitter includes all the basic functions you need to operate the model - 50/75/100% throttle limit, throttle and steering trims, third channel switch, servo reverse, steering servo deflection.
