Fighting use
Tank M3 was first manufactured only in March 1941 and the first combat deployment was in November of the same year in the British Army, where he was supplied under the "Lend-Lease" ("lend-lease"). The first combat deployment in the United States Army was fighting in the Philippines in early 1942. The Japanese then captured tanks used under the name of M3 Stuart Type 0 In late 1942, the U.S. Army landed in North Africa, where light tanks M3 accounted for a large portion of their armored forces. After a crushing defeat in Kasserinském pass, when M3 faced German tanks PzKpfw IV and heavy Tigerům, disbanded the U.S. Army's armored battalions of light tanks and is used only for reconnaissance purposes.
