AH-64 Apache attack helicopter used by the U.S. since the end of the Cold War to the present. The service replaced the older type AH-1 Cobra. The short wings on the sides can carry up to 16 missiles AGM-114 Hellfire and Hydra 76 rockets of 70, or combinations thereof. The machine is installed under the noses of 30 mm M230 cannon. The helicopter can operate at day and night and in poor weather conditions. Apache was constructed in the 70th years as a helicopter combat armored vehicles. It was designed to detect and destroy tanks in a highly mobile combat and could also provide fire support to ground troops. It was developed from a prototype Hughes YAH-64, which first flew in 1975.
