Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (NATO code "Fishbed") is a multi-purpose Soviet supersonic fighter used since the beginning of the 60th years old today. She was, and still sometimes is used by air forces of more than 30 countries. There were produced over 10,000 units, making it the longest and most produced supersonic aircraft. Been deployed in many armed conflicts, including the Arab-Israeli wars and the war in Vietnam.
Serial production started in 1959, but the introduction into the production development of the aircraft over. Other design changes were verified among other things, the tree is 66.
MiG-21 were included in the Armed Forces for more than fifty countries in the years 1961 to 2005 were also in service with the Czechoslovak People's Army and then the Army of the Czech Republic. Licensed were made during the years 1963-1972 in company Aero Vodochody.
