Italeri 2516 - 1:32 Macchi C.200 Saetta
Plastic kit of the Italian World War II fighter aircraft Macchi MC.200.
Template information
The Macchi MC.200 Saetta was an Italian all-metal single-engine fighter aircraft from the Second World War. The prototype of the aircraft first flew on 24 December 1937. Serial production of the first 99 units by the Macchi company began in June 1939 and ended in March 1940. The weakness of the otherwise well-rated aircraft was its weak armament, which initially consisted of only a pair of Breda-SAFAT 12.7 mm machine guns. Later versions of the type therefore received two more 7.7 mm machine guns mounted in the wings. A total of 1,153 aircraft were built, with the last of them serving as training aircraft in 1947.
