Template information
The Dornier Do 355 Pfeil was a German World War II heavy fighter aircraft, which was distinguished by its unique design with two piston engines located in the fuselage. The machine reached a maximum speed of up to 760 km/h. Development of the type began in 1942, with the prototype Do 335 V-1 making its first flight in October of the following year. Successful tests of the prototype V9 led to the start of production of ten pre-series Do 335 A-0. The first series-produced machines of this type were designated Do 335 A-1, but only a handful of them entered service.
