A precisely crafted plastic kit of the twin-engine multi-role combat aircraft Panavia Tornado GR.1.
Template information
The Tornado is a twin-engine, multi-role combat aircraft with variable-geometry wings. It is also the result of a joint development project between British, German and Italian companies. Although it has been used in several roles during its operational career (ground attack, electronic warfare/reconnaissance, interception missions), its primary mission has always been low-altitude interception missions.
The Tornado can carry a diverse arsenal of offensive weapons. Thanks to its two powerful turbofan engines with afterburning, it can reach a maximum speed of Mach 2.2. This machine experienced its baptism of fire in 1991 in the Gulf War. Air operations, which also included the Italian Tornado GR.1, began on January 17. The bombing campaign targeted military facilities and infrastructure.
