Zvezda 7432 - 1:100 Leopard 1A5
Snap-on plastic kit of the German Leopard 1A5 main battle tank.
Template information
Entering service in the mid-1960s, the Leopard 1 formed the backbone of the tank forces of the Federal Republic of Germany and several other NATO countries during the Cold War. The Leopard's combat role was of utmost importance, as it was to be able to repel the overwhelming numbers of tanks that could be deployed by the Warsaw Pact armies.
The reliable and effective 105mm L7 gun could use a variety of ammunition types. The A5 version brought significant improvements with a modified turret capable of accommodating new computerized target identification and fire control systems. Also new were composite armor plates with polycarbonate, which significantly increased the tank's protection and durability.
