Zvezda 3546 - 1:35 BA-3 Armored Car (re-release)
Plastic kit of the Soviet pre-war armored car BA-3.
Template information
The BA-3 armored car was created in 1934 at the Izhorsk Plant in Leningrad under the leadership of designer AD Kuzmin. It was based on its predecessor, the BA-1. The two vehicles were similar in many ways. The BA-3 chassis came from a licensed Ford Timken truck.
Later it was replaced by a Soviet-designed GAZ-AAA chassis. The vehicle was powered by a 40 horsepower gasoline engine. The BA-3's armament consisted of a 45 mm cannon and two 7.62 mm DT machine guns. The vehicle's crew consisted of 4 men.
