Plastic model kit of the legendary American World War II four-engine bomber Consolidated B-24D Liberator.
Template information
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was developed at the beginning of World War II with the same purpose as the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. It was a long-range day bomber with the ability to operate over enemy territory without fighter escort.
Compared to the Boeing B-17, it featured more advanced aerodynamics, thanks to a slender wing with a modern profile. The Liberators proved themselves not only as bombers, but also as long-range reconnaissance aircraft and a very effective means of fighting enemy submarines.
