The Boeing CH-47 Chinook is one of the most famous heavy helicopters in the history of military aviation. Its characteristic concept is the use of two main rotors - one is located in front above the cabin, the other in the tail of the helicopter. The machine was developed from the beginning to meet the needs of the US Army to the maximum extent possible and at the same time replace the outdated H-21 type. The CH-47 Chinook was created in several versions, some of which entered the armament of the armies of many countries. With the exception of the USA, the largest user of Chinooks is the British Royal Air Force. The qualities of the machine have been tested in many armed conflicts.
