Template information
The Boeing 314 Clipper was a four-engine transport flying boat, manufactured by the American company Boeing between 1938 and 1941 for Pan American World Airways. In the first half of 1939, Pan Am made several test transatlantic flights, both southbound and northbound.
Shortly after the outbreak of war, flights on the northern route were cancelled and after the United States entered the war, the United States Army Air Corps took over four aircraft from Pan Am with their crews. Boeing built a total of 12 aircraft of this type.
