Send a questionPlastic kit of a German experimental jet fighter from the end of World War II, the Focke-Wulf TL Jäger "Flitzer".
Template information
The Focke-Wulf "Flitzer" was an ambitious jet fighter project with a distinctive twin-tail fuselage layout, developed as part of the Third Reich's defense program. The aircraft's design combined a Heinkel HeS 011 turbojet engine with an auxiliary rocket engine, which was intended to give the aircraft an exceptional rate of climb and the ability to strike quickly against Allied bomber formations. Although the project was very advanced and wind tunnel tests were conducted, no prototype was completed by the end of the war.
The aircraft was to be armed with a pair of 30 mm MK 108 cannons and its unusual concept was to minimize aerodynamic resistance at high speeds. The "Flitzer" still fascinates modelers and historians as a representative of the so-called "Luftwaffe "46" projects, which showed visionary, albeit unrealized, directions of aviation at that time. The kit from Revell in 1:72 scale brings a detailed look at this specific machine, including precisely processed landing gear and specific fuselage lines.
