Send a questionThe Arado Ar 96 was a German training aircraft designed for follow-up training during World War II. The aircraft was created per Luftwaffe's request for a modern all-metal monoplane type. The Arado Ar 96 was designed by Walter Blume who utilized multiple then light metals. The instructor and his student formed a tandem in a long glass cockpit. The first prototype was flown in 1938, and the first serial aircraft were delivered one year later. The Arado aircrafts flew in Czechoslovakia under their Avia C-2 name. A total of 3,500 aircraft were produced.
