Plastic kit of the World War II Japanese destroyer Yukikaze in the Movie Version edition.
Template information
Yukikaze was the eighth Kagerō-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy, which fought from the beginning to the end of the Pacific War. This plastic model kit recreates the appearance of the ship during Operation Ten-Ichi-Go in April 1945, when it served as an escort for the battleship Yamato. Special packaging inspired by scenes from the film is available to celebrate the release of the film.
This summer marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the war, and the film “YUKIKAZE” will be released in theaters. It is based on the destroyer Yukikaze, the only one of 38 A-class destroyers that served as the main battleships of the Imperial Japanese Navy to survive the war and was known as the “Miracle Destroyer.” Set against the backdrop of a turbulent era from the Pacific War, post-war to the present day, this epic film depicts the lives and fates of those who fought to survive. Based on historical facts, the story of Yukikaze is told from a new perspective. A limited edition model will be released in special packaging to mark the film’s national premiere on Friday, August 15.
