Licensed bodywork
The model's hallmark is a beautifully crafted licensed pickup body with chrome elements such as side moldings, wipers, front grille, bumpers and, last but not least, wheels with hub caps. The side mirrors and headlights are also finished. The windows are clear for a 3D look.
Clipless body mounting
The new body mounting system using hooks in the wheel arches ensures quick and easy battery replacement and the body design is not disturbed by the clips. To remove the body, simply press the hook and pull the body upwards. Installing the body is even easier; just place it on the chassis.
TRX-4 chassis
The chassis is built from two steel profiles, which provide high rigidity of the chassis and prevent twisting. The engine is located in the front of the model, which ensures sufficient load on the front wheels, so that the model can easily handle driving even on steep slopes. The battery is located in the chassis axis for precise balancing.
Portal axles
The TRX-4 chassis uses portal axles with an axle gearbox. The axle gearbox increases ground clearance, reduces stress on the gearbox, cardan shafts and further reduces torsional force - the model tilts less.
Transmission
The TRX-4 Chevrolet K10 is equipped with a single-speed transmission with impressive power and torque. The gear ratio corresponds to the second gear of the TRX-4 with a two-speed transmission. The compact transmission includes a dual-friction clutch for increased drivetrain protection.
Divorces
The axle differentials on this lightweight model will always transfer maximum power to all wheels without slipping, allowing you to drive over even the most difficult terrain.
GTS oil shock absorbers
Four GTS oil-filled shock absorbers provide smooth damping and perfect driving characteristics. The aluminum shock absorber bodies are equipped with a nut for adjusting the spring preload. Special X-ring seals ensure maximum tightness of the shock absorber around the piston rod.
Power steering
The model is controlled by a Traxxas 2075X high-torque digital servo with a torque of 9 kg·cm. The servo is equipped with two ball bearings on a milled shaft and metal gears for maximum durability. Waterproof* construction.
Titan 21T engine
The model is powered by a Titan 21T 550 DC motor. The motor provides smooth operation even at low speeds. The motor has an integrated intake fan for better cooling.
DC regulator
The heart of the Traxxas model is the XL-5 HV DC electronic controller. The controller is designed to be powered by a 2-cell or 3-cell LiPo battery. The model can also be powered by 6- to 7-cell NiMH batteries. Easy selection of driving modes and other settings using the EZ-SET button. Controller status indication by LED diode. LVD protection against underdischarge of the LiPo battery. Thermal protection. Waterproof* construction.
The Traxxas XL-5 HV controller supports 5 driving modes:
- Sport : Forward, brake and reverse
- Race : forward and brake. Reverse is not available.
- Training : Forward limited to 50%. Power, brake 100% and reverse limited to 50%. This mode is suitable for children
- Trail : Forward, brake, reverse. Controls near neutral are very smooth
- Crawl : Drive forward, brake in neutral, and straight into reverse.
TQ receiver
Traxxas TQ 2.4 GHz three-channel receiver ensures safe control without interruptions. Easy one-button pairing. Status indication via LED.
Traxxas TQ RC kit
The model is controlled by a Traxxas TQ two-channel proportional steering wheel RC transmitter, operating in the 2.4 GHz band. The transmitter is powered by 4 AA batteries.
There is a rotary knob on the transmitter that trims the steering (so that the model drives straight when the steering wheel is in the center position). The battery status in the transmitter is indicated by an LED. The throttle and steering reverse can be set on the transmitter.
