Complete smart LED lighting
The LED lighting not only perfectly illuminates the road ahead of you, but also gives you a better overview of the model's position. The functional brake lights only switch on when braking. The complete LED lighting installed on this RC model includes a front LED strip on the bumper (52 diodes), a curved roof LED strip (52 diodes), a multifunctional rear brake strip (24 red diodes, 24 yellow diodes) and a power control unit.
Switch between three manual modes on the controller or use the Bluetooth module (not included) and remotely control each section of the LED lighting separately via your phone via the Traxxas Link app.

Details
The driver's cabin is equipped with a realistic dashboard with a steering wheel or driver and passenger figures. The frame is equipped with fire extinguishers, batteries, fans, tools, a jack and 2 spare wheels.
Transmission
The model is equipped with a completely new compact gearbox, where the clever use of steel components can handle the extreme power and high torque of the engine.
Wheels and tires
The chassis is fitted with top-of-the-line BFGoodrich KR3 tires.
Chassis
The chassis consists of a composite chassis on which the front and rear axles with a distribution to the center differential are installed. The rear axle consists of a solid axle with a differential, which is trailed on beams and rods with joints. On the outer beams there are double massive oil shock absorbers with long stroke. The engine and battery are protected by a removable cover.
Power steering
The waterproof servo steering is equipped with metal gears with two ball bearings for smooth operation.
Powerful brushless motor
The model is powered by a powerful 2200kV AC motor with a robust 5mm shaft, while the 4-pole design gives the motor smooth operation with smooth acceleration. The motor is equipped with a metal body for effective cooling even under high loads.
VXL-6S controller
The RC car model is equipped with a VXL-6s AC regulator. Regulator with 4S–6S LiPo input voltage. Simple one-button adjustment. LED status indication. Heat dissipation using a massive heat sink and fan. Waterproof design and gold-plated 6.5 mm connectors. Two-stage detection of low voltage of LiPo batteries, thermal protection and overvoltage protection. The regulator is equipped with a port for connecting original accessories (e.g. LED lighting).

Real-time telemetry
The exclusive ESC with advanced electronics is equipped to transmit telemetry data in real time. Using a wireless Bluetooth module (sold separately) and the Traxxas Link App, you can monitor speed, engine speed and battery voltage in real time directly on your phone. The ESC provides telemetry data without the need to install additional sensors.
Traxxas TQi receiver
Traxxas TQi 5Ch TSM RC receiver with telemetry for Traxxas TQi transmitters. Easy to use, pairing with a button. LED status indication. The receiver has integrated 3-axis MEMS sensors for learning the receiver's position. The receiver is also equipped with two connectors for connecting telemetry sensors RPM (speed) and V/T (voltage/temperature). Furthermore, a telemetry expansion module can be connected to the 4-pin connector, into which you can connect up to 6 more sensors, including a very accurate GPS speed sensor.
Traxxas TQi Bluetooth Ready RC Kit
Traxxas has prepared a completely new line of two-channel RC kits with Bluetooth connectivity. The TRA6511 Bluetooth module (sold separately) allows you to connect your RC model to the clear graphical Traxxas Link application, which you can install on your smartphone for free.
The Traxxas Link app for Apple devices is available for free on the AppStore , and the app for Google Android devices is also available for free on GooglePlay .
The Traxxas Link App is a powerful application that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of your Traxxas RC model. It will amaze you with its sophisticated visualization and extensive configuration options. Traxxas Link displays real-time telemetry data - measuring speed, rpm, temperature, battery voltage and now also the model's tilt.

Traxxas Stability Management
Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) not only allows you to experience tremendous power, speed, acceleration, and high-speed cornering, it also provides much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces, even ice or snow!
The receiver integrates a three-axis MEMS gyro and accelerometer, which evaluates the movement of the model 100 times per second and corrects the direction of travel by precise interventions in the front wheel steering. Traxxas TSM does not limit the engine power, you have 100% control over the power of the drive unit. The algorithms are tuned for each model separately. The level of assistance is set using the multi-function controller on the transmitter, or in the Traxxas Link application.
Package contents
The package contains an assembled RC model of the Traxxas Desert Racer in 1:8 scale with installed complete LED lighting, a 2200kV brushless motor, a Traxxas VXL-6S speed controller, a Traxxas steering servo with metal gears and a TSM receiver with stabilization. The package also includes a Traxxas TQi 2.4GHz transmitter, a tool kit, a battery separator, a shorting jumper for one battery, a CZ manual and an EN, DE, FR, SP manual.
Must be purchased
To operate the model, you will need 4 AA batteries (pencil batteries) to power the transmitter, LiPo battery(es) for propulsion, and a charger. The model can be operated either on a single 4-cell LiPo battery or on a pair of identical 2-3-cell LiPo batteries.
For normal driving, one 4S LiPo battery with a capacity of 6700 mAh is sufficient, for maximum driving time we recommend using a pair of 2S LiPo batteries with a capacity of 7600 mAh, and for maximum power, a pair of 3S LiPo batteries with a capacity of 5000 mAh. The batteries must be equipped with a Traxxas iD power connector.
Accessories for normal operation
For normal operation of the RC car, you need tire glue, silicone oil for shock absorbers, and a set of Allen screwdrivers.
Tire glue is used to glue the bead of the tire to the rim. It is always necessary to glue the tire firmly around the entire circumference! If the tire is not glued around the entire circumference, it may burst. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and the glued joint remains flexible even after hardening. Do not use ordinary superglue - it is not flexible after hardening, and cracks will gradually form around the rim on the tire.
Screw glue is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into metal materials (e.g. screws in a motor or a worm in a pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.
Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the shock absorbers. During normal operation, only slight silicone oil leaks occur along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leak can be large. So-called repair kits are available for these cases. The tuning parts offer includes piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating for all shock absorbers.
