The graceful curves of the detailed body with clear windows, folding mirrors, wipers, handles and spare wheel are no longer disturbed by the pillars with clips. The TRX-4 chassis has also been improved, featuring new fenders that snap into the body's lugs. Removing and installing the body to replace the battery is now a breeze. If the TRX-4's unbeatable off-road capabilities with portal axles, remote-controlled differential locks, and 2-speed transmission aren't enough, you can upgrade the model with a functional winch (sold separately).

TRX-4 chassis
The TRX-4 chassis is built from two steel profiles, which ensure sufficient rigidity of the chassis. Thanks to the proven placement of the engine in the front, sufficient load is ensured on the front wheels. The battery is located in the chassis axis, so the model is precisely balanced and does not tilt while driving. The chassis is thought out down to the smallest detail, including cable routing and mounting holes for optional accessories.
Axles with axle gearbox
The TRX-4 chassis uses portal axles with an axle gearbox. The axle gearbox increases ground clearance, reduces stress on the differentials, gearbox, cardan shafts, and further reduces torsional force - the model tilts less. The steering of the front wheels with a steering angle of up to 45 ° is provided by a Traxxas 2075X servo with metal gears. Thanks to the new chassis, the model has achieved an excellent approach angle.
2-speed gearbox
The model is equipped with a 2-speed gearbox. Gear changes are controlled by a red rocker switch on the transmitter. This solution makes the TRX-4 chassis a very versatile model that can go slow or fast depending on your needs.
Lockable differentials
The differential locks are independently controlled by 2 servos via bowden cables that lead to the differentials. The locks are controlled by a 3-position switch on the transmitter and provide the following combinations:
- Both differentials are open.
- Only the front differential is locked.
- Both differentials are locked.
GTS oil shock absorbers
4 oil-filled GTS shock absorbers provide smooth damping and perfect driving characteristics. The aluminum shock absorber bodies are equipped with a nut for adjusting the spring preload. Special X-rings ensure maximum tightness of the shock absorber around the piston rod.
Power steering
The model is controlled by a Traxxas 2075X digital servo with a thrust of 9 kg/cm. The servo is equipped with two ball bearings on the milled shaft and metal gears for maximum durability. Of course, the waterproof design is included.
Transmission and differential servos
The model is equipped with a total of 3 waterproof 2065 microservos. 2 servos independently control the front and rear differential locks. The 3rd servo then provides gear shifting for the two-speed gearbox.
Titan 21T engine
The model is powered by a Titan 21T 550 DC motor. The motor provides smooth operation even at low speeds. For better cooling, the motor has an integrated fan blowing air to the rotor.
DC regulator
The heart of the Traxxas model is the XL-5 HV DC electronic controller. The controller is designed to be powered by a 2-cell or 3-cell LiPo battery. The model can also be powered by 6-7-cell NiMH batteries. Easy selection of driving modes and other settings using the EZ-SET button. Controller status indication by LED diode. LVD protection against underdischarge of the LiPo battery. Thermal protection, waterproof design. The Traxxas XL-5 HV controller supports 5 driving modes:
- Sport: Forward, brake and reverse.
- Race: Forward and brake. Reverse is not available.
- Training: Forward limited to 50% power, brake 100% and reverse limited to 50%. This mode is suitable for children.
- Trail: Forward, brake, reverse. Controls near neutral are very smooth.
- Crawl: Drive forward, brake in neutral and straight into reverse.
Traxxas TQi 4-Channel RC Kit with Bluetooth
The 4-channel transmitter, in addition to precise and reliable control, is also equipped with a slot for placing a Bluetooth module (sold separately). The Bluetooth module will allow you to connect the RC model with the clear graphical Traxxas Link application, which you can install for free on your smartphone. The Traxxas Link application for Apple devices is available for free on the App Store , the application for Google Android devices is free on Google Play .
The Traxxas Link App is a powerful app that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of your Traxxas RC model with stunning visualization and absolute precision settings. Traxxas Link can display real-time telemetry data. This gives you an overview of things like speed, RPM, temperature, battery voltage and tilt of the model. You can share RC model settings, and you can create any number of profiles for a specific track or user.

Telemetry – model tilt
Using the wireless Bluetooth module and the Traxxas link app, it is possible to monitor the tilt of the model on your phone. To display additional telemetry data (battery voltage, speed, temperature), telemetry sensors must be installed.
Traxxas TQi receiver
The 5-channel RC receiver Traxxas TQi TSM with telemetry for Traxxas TQi transmitters is characterized by simple operation and pairing with a button. Status indication by LED diode. The receiver has integrated 3-axis MEMS sensors for learning the position of the receiver. The receiver is also equipped with two connectors for connecting telemetry sensors RPM (speed) and V/T (voltage/temperature). Furthermore, a telemetry expansion module can be connected to the 4-pin connector, into which you can connect up to 6 more telemetry sensors, including a very accurate GPS speed sensor.
