The Traxxas 4-Tec Drift Nissan 240SX RC model car in 1:10 scale is specially modified for drifting. It features a new suspension with a large steering angle, a new DC motor, a handbrake function, a clipless body and a modified TSM stabilization, specially tuned for drifting.
To achieve the best driving characteristics, Traxxas used the 4-Tec 2.0 on-road chassis and developed a new independent suspension for it, which is also adjustable. The power from the engine is transmitted to the rear wheels. In addition to the hard compound tires for asphalt, the package also includes a set of soft compound tires for use on smooth surfaces.
In addition to the proven controller with three driving modes, a receiver with a specially modified drifting algorithm was used. Drifting modes and assistance intensity can be easily adjusted in the application. For a smooth transition into a skid, the transmitter is equipped with a switch for activating the electric handbrake.

Turning angle
The 4-Tec Drift provides over 60° of steering angle at full steering angle, allowing for large lateral drifts and quick transitions between them. The front suspension is specifically tuned for drifting. The tie rods, steering knuckles and linkages are optimized for maximum range of motion. An optional kit is included that increases the steering angle to 75°.
Adjustable drift modes
Only the Traxxas 4-Tec Drift lets you choose from 3 drift modes that can be fine-tuned using the Traxxas Link app. The innovative TSM Drift technology replaces outdated gyroscopes. Even novices can drift like a pro without any special knowledge or skills. Advanced drivers will appreciate the smooth controls for even more precise steering.
Stapleless bodywork
The Nissan 240SX's staple-free body is durable and detailed. Beautiful metallic paint contrasts with plastic elements for classic 1980s style. Hidden brackets under the hood and rear spoiler maintain the sleek lines.
Traxxas TQi transmitter with Bluetooth module
The Traxxas Link wireless module is factory-installed in the transmitter to unlock the full potential of the model with its individual drift modes. Use the intuitive app to customize settings and unlock advanced tuning features. Press the switch on the transmitter to activate the electric parking brake, which slows the rear wheels for easier drifting.
Two sets of tires
The model is designed for maximum versatility. The package includes two sets of 1.9" tires. Use the hard compound tires installed on the model on any hard abrasive surface. The included soft compound tires provide better drift control on smooth surfaces.
New 2WD platform
The Traxxas 4-Tec Drift is built on a new rear-wheel drive platform based on the 4-Tec chassis. The front suspension components are new to provide optimal drift geometry and a 60+ degree steering angle. Riders can also take advantage of the ability to customize their ride.
4-Tec 2.0 chassis
The Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 chassis is made of a three-dimensional composite molding (glass-filled nylon), which is lightweight and stiff at the same time. Everything has been subordinated to obtain the lowest possible center of gravity. To simplify maintenance, the chassis is modular, so the front, center and rear sections can be easily separated.
Oil shock absorbers
The 4-Tec chassis effectively overcomes bumps with oil-filled shock absorbers with exclusive X-rings that seal perfectly. The shock absorbers are adjustable, the spring preload can be changed using shims, you can change the oil in the shock absorbers or choose a set of springs with a different hardness.
Suspension adjustment options
The chassis offers riders complete suspension customization. The front arms allow for track adjustment for improved stability and handling. The chassis also offers extensive adjustment options, including camber, lean angle, Ackermann steering geometry, ride height, toe-in and bump steer.
Adjustable rear wheel camber
Rear steel links allow for easy suspension adjustments to fine-tune the ride characteristics exactly to your liking.
Fixed inter-tooth clearance
Precise adjustment of the tooth clearance is a breeze. The motor bed contains mounting holes that are assigned to pinions with a specific number of teeth, which provides precise adjustment of the tooth clearance.
Adjustable battery holder
The battery holder with a dual-height quick-release system accommodates a wide range of drive batteries (flat NiMH, 2S LiPo).
Ball bearings
Ball bearings are used throughout the drive system. The bearings are covered with a plastic cover to keep dirt to a minimum. This solution extends the life of the model and simplifies maintenance.
Power steering
The Traxxas 2075 High-Torque digital waterproof servo with DC motor, nylon gears and two ball bearings is precise and fast.
Powerful Titan 21T motor
The model car is equipped with a Titan 550 21T DC motor, which delivers smooth and predictable power across a wide range of RPMs. The rotor at the rear of the motor contains a fan for more efficient cooling.
Traxxas XL 5 electronic controller
Waterproof electronic controller Traxxas XL-5 with three driving modes, support for modern high-capacity LiPo batteries and easy control with the EZ-Set button. The XL-5 controller is equipped with a training mode that limits full throttle to 50%. Thanks to this, novice drivers or children can gradually get acquainted with the characteristics of the model and prepare for the full power of the car. Thermal protection, gold-plated connectors and incredibly low internal resistance are the hallmarks of this controller.

Traxxas TQi receiver
The Traxxas TQi 5 TSM five-channel receiver is characterized by its simple operation. Pairing is done using a button, the status is indicated by an LED. The receiver has integrated three-axis MEMS sensors for learning the receiver's position.
The receiver is also equipped with two connectors for connecting telemetry sensors RPM (speed) and V/T (voltage/temperature). Furthermore, a telemetry expansion module can be connected to the four-pin connector, into which you can connect up to six sensors, including a very accurate GPS speed sensor.
Traxxas TQi Bluetooth Ready RC Kit
Traxxas has prepared a completely new line of RC kits with Bluetooth connectivity for you. The Bluetooth module (already installed in the transmitter) will allow you to connect the RC model with the clear graphic Traxxas Link application, which you can install on your Smartphone for free. The Traxxas Link application for Apple devices is available for free on the AppStore, the application for Google Android devices is free on GooglePlay.
The Traxxas Link App is a powerful app that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of your Traxxas RC model with stunning visualization and absolute precision settings. Traxxas Link can display real-time telemetry data provided by the model, such as speed, RPM, temperature, battery voltage and model tilt. (The telemetry provided varies by specific model type).
You can share RC model settings, create any number of profiles for a specific track or user, e.g. children. All in an app with brilliant graphics. Telemetry options vary by model. Steering angle
Each of the three modes includes a steering angle adjustment. This slider represents the maximum angle of the wheels when the steering wheel is fully turned. The factory setting (via the multi-function switch on the transmitter) is 50%, which prevents beginners from applying too much pressure to the wheels by turning them excessively when drifting.
Drift mode
Once the rider initiates a drift, TSM detects it and seamlessly applies just enough steering and throttle support to maintain the intended drift angle. The factory settings are tuned to suit the widest range of riders and surfaces. It is not recommended to adjust these settings until the rider is sufficiently familiar with the model. As skill increases, the TSM Drift setting offers innovative new tuning for different conditions, surfaces and riding styles. The mode includes three adjustable parameters:
TSM mode
TSM mode retains the same settings as TSM Drift mode for steering angle and Steering Reflex, but removes all throttle assist. This mode works well for those looking to hone their throttle skills. Spinout Assist and Throttle Reflex are not available in this mode.
Gyro mode
Gyro mode mimics the steering assist provided by a traditional gyro for riders who prefer this style of drifting. In this setting, the Steering Angle works the same as the other modes, but there is no throttle assist. The gyro gain is fully adjustable from 0% to 100% to suit the rider's individual style.
Package contents
The package contains a fully assembled RC model of the Traxxas 4-Tec Drift Nissan 240SX in 1:10 scale with installed components: Titan 550 21T Drift DC motor, Traxxas XL5 LVD DC speed controller, Traxxas 2075 High-Torque servo and Traxxas TQi 2.4GHz TSM receiver.
The package also includes a Traxxas TQi 2.4GHz transmitter with an installed Bluetooth module, Allen keys (1.5 mm and 2 mm), shock absorber spring washers and pistons, a cross wrench, a set of soft tires, CZ instructions and EN, DE, FR, SP manuals.
Must be purchased
To operate the model, you will need 4 AA batteries to power the transmitter, a Hard Case drive battery and a suitable charger. With modern LiPo batteries, the car will have maximum acceleration. The model can be operated in conjunction with a 2S LiPo battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, or, if you prefer NiMH batteries, you can use an 8.4 V NiMH battery with a capacity of 3000–5000 mAh. The battery you choose must be equipped with a Traxxas iD power connector.
Accessories for normal operation
For normal operation of an RC car, you need tire glue, silicone oil for shock absorbers, and a set of Allen screwdrivers. We recommend affordable car tool sets from our assortment.
Tire glue is used to glue tires to the rim of the wheel. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not glued around the entire circumference, it may burst. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon and at the same time the glue is flexible after hardening. Do not use ordinary superglue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks will gradually form in the tire around the rims!
Screw glue is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into metal materials (e.g. screws in a motor, a worm in a pinion) must be secured with this glue against spontaneous loosening.
