More than 15 years ago, Traxxas launched the 1:10 scale Slash RC car, which became the best-selling short course model for many years. Now, Slash is even bigger and more powerful, more durable, and more fun.
The new Maxx Slash is built on the proven Maxx platform with a spacious nylon chassis and integrated shock towers. Thanks to its larger size, optimal ground clearance and aggressively treaded tires, the model can handle rough terrain as well as on the road.
The drivetrain is equipped with state-of-the-art components including front, rear and center differentials with metal gears, a Cush Drive shock absorber and all-new telescopic axles.
The Maxx Slash is equipped with a powerful 2000kV brushless motor with fixed backlash adjustment. The VXL-6S speed controller with three driving modes provides all the telemetry that you can view on your phone (you need to add a Bluetooth module to the transmitter).
The receiver features exclusive TSM electronic stabilization technology, which helps with model control. The Traxxas TQi transmitter with precision mechanics provides precise control. The model is extremely user-friendly thanks to the clipless body, the latching battery clamping system and, last but not least, the modular chassis design for easy service.

Traxxas Slash in 1:8 scale
1:8 scale cars represent the ideal compromise between excellent off-road capability and high performance. The Maxx Slash still remains light, precise to control and incredibly agile.
Tires with belt
Maxx SC tires are equipped with a lightweight reinforcing belt in the carcass, which prevents uneven tread bulging at high speeds.
Chassis with low center of gravity
The chassis of the model is made of a proven spatial structure, with the floor reinforced with hexagonal elements resembling a honeycomb. All components fit together precisely. The chassis can absorb even massive impacts without any damage. The chassis is based on the Maxx platform, but the chassis has been lowered and the wheelbase has been extended for greater stability.
Modular construction
The modular design allows the complete front or rear chassis to be removed, giving you access to all important components in minutes, making servicing and setting changes faster and more convenient.
Sliding plates
The underside of the chassis is protected by skid plates that can be easily replaced if damaged. The plates protect important drive components from damage while complementing the clean lines of the chassis, which will not get caught on obstacles.
Integrated shock towers
The model uses proven technology that integrates the shock tower directly into the chassis, providing exceptional strength and durability. In the event of an impact, energy is also distributed throughout the chassis structure.
Battery compartments
The universal compartment can hold one large 4S LiPo battery or two 2S-3S LiPo batteries. The batteries are stored deep in the chassis, which lowers the center of gravity and provides maximum protection. The latch system allows for easy and quick installation and removal.
GT-Maxx oil shock absorbers
Four large GT-Maxx oil-filled shock absorbers effectively absorb even the hardest impacts. The oil-filled aluminum shock body is equipped with a thread and nut for easy spring preload adjustment. The shock absorber is equipped with double X-rings to prevent oil leakage around the piston rod.
Long arm stroke
The long stroke of the arms absorbs even sharp impacts and improves the handling of the model. This ensures precise and fast steering response in every situation. The stroke of the arms is adjustable. Use the full stroke for maximum off-road capabilities, the lower stroke for precise and sensitive control on the track.
Improved engine mount
The Maxx Slash features a modified motor mount with two guide grooves that hold the motor securely in place. The pinion and spur gear backlash can be easily and precisely adjusted using the locking pin holes.
Power steering
The all-new Traxxas 2090 waterproof steering servo is commonly used in 1:5 scale models. Instant power transmission to the wheels is ensured by the state-of-the-art Dual Bell-crank system with an integrated servo saver that protects the servo gears during impacts and shocks.
Powerful brushless motor
The model is powered by a powerful 2000kV AC motor with a robust 5 mm shaft. The four-pole design gives the motor smooth running and smooth acceleration. The motor is equipped with a metal casing for effective cooling even under high loads.
VXL-6S controller
The RC car model is equipped with a VXL-6S brushless controller. Controller with 4S–6S LiPo input voltage. Simple one-button setup. LED status indication. Heat dissipation using a massive heat sink and fan. Waterproof design and gold-plated 6.5 mm connectors. Two-stage detection of low voltage of LiPo batteries, thermal protection and overvoltage protection. The controller is equipped with a port for connecting original accessories (e.g. LED lighting).

Real-time telemetry
The exclusive ESC with advanced electronics is equipped to transmit telemetry data in real time. Using a wireless Bluetooth module (sold separately) and the Traxxas Link App, you can monitor speed, engine speed and battery voltage in real time directly on your phone. The ESC provides telemetry data without the need to install additional sensors.
Traxxas TQi receiver
Traxxas TQi 5Ch TSM RC receiver with telemetry for Traxxas TQi transmitters. Easy to use, pairing with a button. LED status indication. The receiver has integrated 3-axis MEMS sensors for learning the receiver's position. The receiver is also equipped with two connectors for connecting telemetry sensors RPM (speed) and V/T (voltage/temperature). Furthermore, a telemetry expansion module can be connected to the 4-pin connector, into which you can connect up to 6 more sensors, including a very accurate GPS speed sensor.
Traxxas TQi Bluetooth Ready RC Kit
Traxxas has prepared a completely new line of two-channel RC kits with Bluetooth connectivity. The TRA6511 Bluetooth module (sold separately) allows you to connect your RC model to the clear graphical Traxxas Link application, which you can install on your smartphone for free.

The Traxxas Link App is a powerful application that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of your Traxxas RC model. It will amaze you with its sophisticated visualization and extensive configuration options. Traxxas Link displays real-time telemetry data - measuring speed, rpm, temperature, battery voltage and now also the model's tilt.

Traxxas Stability Management
Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) not only allows you to experience tremendous power, speed, acceleration, and high-speed cornering, it also provides much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces, even ice or snow!
The receiver integrates a three-axis MEMS gyro and accelerometer, which evaluates the movement of the model 100 times per second and corrects the direction of travel by precise interventions in the front wheel steering. Traxxas TSM does not limit the engine power, you have 100% control over the power of the drive unit. The algorithms are tuned for each model separately. The level of assistance is set using the multi-function controller on the transmitter, or in the Traxxas Link application.

Must be purchased
To operate the model, you will need 4 AA batteries (pencil batteries) to power the transmitter, LiPo battery(es) for propulsion, and a charger. The model can be operated either on a single 4-cell LiPo battery or on a pair of identical 2-3-cell LiPo batteries.
For normal driving, one 4S LiPo battery with a capacity of 6700 mAh is sufficient, for maximum driving time we recommend using a pair of 2S LiPo batteries with a capacity of 7600 mAh, and for maximum power, a pair of 3S LiPo batteries with a capacity of 5000 mAh. The batteries must be equipped with a Traxxas iD power connector.
Accessories for normal operation
For normal operation of the RC car, you need tire glue, silicone oil for shock absorbers, and a set of Allen screwdrivers.
Tire glue is used to glue the bead of the tire to the rim. It is always necessary to glue the tire firmly around the entire circumference! If the tire is not glued around the entire circumference, it may burst. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and the glued joint remains flexible even after hardening. Do not use ordinary superglue - it is not flexible after hardening, and cracks will gradually form around the rim on the tire.
Screw glue is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into metal materials (e.g. screws in a motor or a worm in a pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.
Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the shock absorbers. During normal operation, only slight silicone oil leaks occur along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leak can be large. So-called repair kits are available for these cases. The tuning parts offer includes piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating for all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN coating can be easily recognized by their golden-green color. From our range of silicone oils, we recommend TLR, Traxxas or Medial silicone oils, see recommended accessories.
