Officially licensed expedition RC model car Axial SCX10 III Jeep Cherokee XJ 4WD. The model features a scale body with LED lighting and a multitude of details combined with the proven off-road chassis SCX10 III. It is designed for all fans of expedition driving, experts in overcoming obstacles, rock crawling racers, and anyone looking for top-notch driving performance. For off-road driving, the model is equipped with a rigid chassis, multi-link suspension, and straight axles. To turn almost in place, it includes a remote-controlled DIG function (locking the rear axle). Spektrum electronics ensure hassle-free and precise control.
The SCX10 III chassis uses rigid steel profiles that prevent chassis bending, thus enhancing driving accuracy. The front suspension is three-link and the rear is four-link, allowing for significant axle articulation. The LCXU transmission operates smoothly thanks to ball bearing support and durable metal gears. The DIG function is built into the transmission. The suspension features a quartet of oil-filled shocks with aluminum bodies and adjustable spring preload. Installed are AR45 straight axles. Excellent approach angles are supported by raised bumpers. The model is complemented by officially licensed KMC KM444 MESA wheels with a beadlock system that eliminates the need for gluing tires and exceptional BFGoodrich Krawler T/A KX tires for off-road use.
The body of the Jeep Cherokee XJ includes clear windows, a grille, mirrors, a roof rack, and a fuel canister replica. The front bumper sports a winch replica. The scale appearance is enhanced by LED lighting in the front and rear lights.
The model is powered by a brushed motor and a Spektrum 40 A speed controller. The five-channel receiver is controlled by a three-channel SLT3 transmitter, so if you decide to operate the model with a universal Spektrum transmitter, such as the DXC+ (sold separately), you will still have spare channels for adding extra functions. For precise driving, a digital servo with metal gears is used for control. The DIG function also operates a smaller servo with metal gears.
The chassis made of steel C profiles reduces frame flex and increases suspension movement precision. The two-piece chassis design allows for easy wheelbase adjustment.
The design of the three-link front suspension minimizes "bump steer" effect, that is, the change of toe angle during compression. The rear four-link suspension reduces the influence of motor torque and side tilting during sharp throttle applications. The suspension includes 6 mm tie rods made of stainless steel for durability, as well as stainless steel ball ends.
The AR45 front axle features a differential placed off the centerline, increasing its scale fidelity. The construction of the LCXU DIG transmission also facilitates potential transitions from standard axles to portal axles.
The adjustable metal Panhard mount resists bending under stress, especially when paired with robust tires or strong servos. The mount can be positioned forwards or backwards to accommodate portal or straight axles.
The single-speed LCXU transmission includes shafts supported on ball bearings and metal gears, ensuring reliable performance even in tough terrain or during challenging climbs.
In addition to all-metal internal gears for strength and durability, the LCXU transmission is also equipped with a complete set of ball bearings for smooth and efficient driving.
The SCX10 III chassis cover offers several mounting options for the upper arms, allowing for precise suspension geometry adjustments.
The oil-filled adjustable shocks feature aluminum bodies with threads and nuts for easy spring preload adjustments. These shocks represent the perfect combination of range and performance!
With this function, you can remotely lock the rear wheels via the transmitter. Thus, the rear axle is either driven or locked, preventing the wheels from turning. Locking the rear wheels dramatically reduces the turning radius, allowing you to turn the model almost in place. The DIG function is also appreciated during steep descents as it reduces the risk of tipping.
This model comes with an officially licensed second-generation body from 2001 of the iconic Jeep Cherokee XJ vehicle. The model is available in original factory colors Forest Green Pearl or Stone White. The body is made of high-strength polycarbonate and is fully painted.
The SCX10 III Jeep Cherokee XJ model stands on precisely crafted KMC KM444 MESA wheels that perfectly capture the rugged, off-road look designed for tough terrain. The robust spoke design and realistic bolt details faithfully replicate the style of real off-road specials. The wheels feature a beadlock system, meaning the tire is not glued, and easily replaced by unscrewing the beadlock ring.
Top-notch traction in the field is provided by officially licensed BFGoodrich Krawler T/A KX tires. These give the model aggressive traction and unmistakable off-road character. The deep and massive tread blocks grip uncompromisingly into rocks, mud, and loose substrates.
The SCX10 III Jeep Cherokee XJ model is equipped with an officially licensed front bumper from DirtBound, which gives the vehicle an aggressive appearance and enhances scale realism. On the bumper is a licensed winch replica WARN EVO10-S.
The licensed winch fairlead from Factor 55 Hawse is precisely made from machined aluminum, giving the model a top-tier look and premium detail.
The model is equipped with powerful and durable LED lights that ensure better visibility and a realistic experience. The LEDs in the front lights, rear lights, and front turn signals emphasize the scale processing of the model.
It features simple and reliable electronics with a waterproof* 40 A regulator, a brushed motor, two digital servos with metal gears, and a 5-channel receiver with a 3-channel transmitter.
The transmitter includes all the basic functions you need for operating the model – throttle limit 50/75/100%, trims for throttle and steering, a third-channel switch, servo reverse, and steering servo throw.
