Officially licensed expedition RC model car Axial SCX10 III Jeep Cherokee XJ 4WD. The model features a meticulously detailed body with LED lighting, combined with the proven off-road chassis SCX10 III. This model is intended for all expedition driving enthusiasts, obstacle tackling experts, rock crawling racers, and anyone seeking top-notch driving characteristics. For off-road driving, the model is equipped with a rigid chassis, multi-link suspension, and straight axles. To turn almost on the spot, it includes a remote controlled function DIG (locking of the rear axle). Spektrum electronics ensure smooth and precise control.
The SCX10 III chassis uses rigid steel profiles that prevent bending of the chassis and thus enhance driving precision. The front suspension is three-point, and the rear is four-point, allowing for a large axle swing. The LCXU transmission operates smoothly due to its ball bearing construction and durable metal gears. The DIG function is built into the transmission. The suspension is taken care ofa quartet of oil-filled shocks with aluminum bodies and adjustable spring preload. The AR45 straight axles are installed. Excellent approach angles are supported by raised bumpers. The model's appearance is complemented by officially licensed KMC KM444 MESA wheels with a beadlock system that does not require glue for mounting tires and excellent BFGoodrich Krawler T/A KX tires for off-road use.
The Jeep Cherokee XJ body features clear windows, a grille, mirrors, a roof rack, and a scale model jerrycan. The front bumper includes a mock winch. The scale look is enhanced by LED lighting in the front and rear lights.
The model is powered by a DC motor and a Spektrum 40 A controller. The five-channel receiver is controlled by a three-channel transmitter SLT3, so if you decide to operate the model with a universal Spektrum transmitter, such as the DXC+ (sold separately), you will still have free channels available for adding additional functions. For precise control, a digital servo with metal gears is used. The DIG function also controls a smaller servo with metal gears.
The chassis made of steel C profiles reduces frame bending and increases suspension movement accuracy. The two-part chassis design allows for easy wheelbase adjustment.
The front three-link suspension design minimizes "bump steer" effect, that is the change of toe during compression. The rear four-link suspension reduces the impact of motor torque and lateral leaning during sudden acceleration. The suspension includes 6 mm stainless steel rods for durability and also stainless steel ball joints.
The AR45 front axle has a differential located away from the central axis, increasing its scale realism. The design of the LCXU DIG transmission also facilitates the potential transition from standard axles to portal axles.
The adjustable metal Panhard mount withstands bending under stress, especially in combination with durable tires or strong servos. The mount can be positioned forward or backward to adapt to the portal or straight axle.
The single-speed LCXU transmission features shafts mounted in ball bearings and metal gears that ensure reliable performance even in tough terrain or during challenging climbs.
In addition to all-metal internal gears for strength and durability, the LCXU transmission is equipped with a complete set of ball bearings for smooth and efficient operation.
The SCX10 III chassis cover offers multiple mount points for the upper arms, allowing for precise suspension geometry adjustments.
The oil-filled adjustable shocks feature aluminum bodies with threading and a nut for easy spring preload adjustments. These shocks represent the perfect combination of range and performance!
With this function, you can remotely lock the rear wheels via the transmitter. The rear axle can thus be either powered or locked, and the wheels do not rotate. Locking the rear wheels drastically reduces the turning radius, allowing you to turn the model almost on the spot. You will also appreciate the DIG function during steep descents, as it reduces the risk of rolling the model.
This model comes with an officially licensed second-generation body from 2001 of the iconic Jeep Cherokee XJ vehicle. The model is available in original factory colors of Forest Green Pearl or Stone White. The body is made of highly durable polycarbonate and is fully painted.
The SCX10 III Jeep Cherokee XJ stands on precisely crafted KMC KM444 MESA wheels, perfectly capturing the rugged stance made for demanding terrain. Their robust spoke design and realistic bolt details faithfully replicate the style of real off-road specials. The wheels feature a Beadlock system, meaning the tire is not glued and easily changed by unscrewing the Beadlock ring.
Top-tier traction in terrain is provided by the officially licensed BFGoodrich Krawler T/A KX tires. They offer aggressive grip and unmistakable off-road character. The deep and massive tread blocks bite uncompromisingly into rocks, mud, and loose ground.
The SCX10 III Jeep Cherokee XJ is equipped with an officially licensed DirtBound front bumper, which gives the vehicle an aggressive look and enhances the scale realism. The bumper features a licensed mock winch WARN EVO10-S.
The licensed winch fairlead Factor 55 Hawse is precisely made from machined aluminum, giving the model a top-quality look and premium detail.
The model is equipped with powerful and durable LED lights, ensuring better visibility and a realistic experience. The LEDs in the front lights, rear lights, and front indicators highlight the scale detailing of the model.
It includes simple and reliable electronics with a waterproof* 40 A speed controller, a DC motor, two digital servos with metal gears, and a 5-channel receiver with a 3-channel transmitter.
The transmitter includes all the basic functions you need for operating the model – throttle limit 50/75/100%, trims for throttle and steering, a third-channel switch, servo reverse, and steering servo travel.
