About the manufacturer
British company Albion Alloys supplies metal materials for model makers. The focus of the range is on profiles, tubes, rods and sheets made of brass, with some products made of other metals such as copper, aluminium or pakfong.
Range
Particularly noteworthy are the products that are not offered by the competition. The Albion Alloys range includes very interesting small brass and pakfong tubes (available from 0.3 mm in diameter), phosphor bronze strips (suitable, for example, for electric pantographs in locomotives) and very small diameter pakfong rods (more like wires) (available from 0.1 mm in diameter).
Wherever possible, the sizes of the tubes or profiles are graduated so that they can be telescopically inserted into each other with minimal clearance.
Packaging method
All products are packed in bags and the number of profiles or sheets in a bag is chosen so that everything can be divided into a few price categories. Packing in bags also has the advantage that, unlike some competing products, it is not necessary to remove the labels from the profiles, bars or sheets before work.
Very suitable for plastic modelers
Although these are metal products, the range is also very successful with plastic modelers who need thin wires and tubes to produce details. Some specialized products are even directly targeted for specific use in connection with plastic models.
