Plastic model kit of the Swedish jet fighter Saab JAS-39C Gripen.
Template information
The Saab JAS-39 Gripen entered service in the second half of the 1990s and represented a significant improvement over its predecessors, such as the aging Saab 37 Viggen. The two-seat version of the JAS-39D Gripen has similar performance to the single-seat version, but also allows for advanced training of fighter pilots of the type.
Sophisticated aerodynamics give the aircraft excellent maneuverability and a high maximum speed of Mach 2.0. In addition to excellent flight characteristics and low operating costs, the aircraft can carry a diverse range of undercarriage weapons, which has contributed to its commercial success with foreign users.
