The RC car model Stampede 2WD VX3 is a typical monster truck with a high ground clearance and large wheels. It is suitable for driving even in tough terrain, jumping, and overcoming obstacles! The new Stampede is not only improved but also features a new chassis for an even higher level of performance, durability, and user comfort. Thanks to the new brushless drive powered by 2-3S LiPo, the model reaches speeds of up to 80 km/h. This speed is achievable even with the stock pinion gear, which represents approximately a 25% increase compared to the previous drive. The drive components feature improved cooling, and the controller includes integrated telemetry support. The excellent handling is enhanced by electronic stability management TSM. With a 2WD drive to the rear wheels, the model is lighter and has a simpler structure. For high durability, the model is factory-equipped with Extreme Heavy Duty components.
The model features a carefully tuned chassis with independent suspension, which allows it to easily handle challenging terrains. The motor with gearbox and rear differential are located behind the rear axle for maximum traction. The new GTR composite shocks improve driving characteristics. Durable bumpers protect the model during collisions. Easy access to the model, including the battery without a pinned body, with notches.
It is advisable for children and beginners to operate the model initially with a 2S LiPo battery, reducing the maximum speed to 56 km/h. The controller also offers three driving modes, including a Training mode where power is limited to 50%. As a result, Stampede is a versatile model that you can initially use at lower power, gradually increasing it as your driving skills improve. Control is provided by the new TQi Sport 2.4 GHz RC set.
Main Innovations
New VX3 Drive
The new VX3 brushless drive can convert the energy of a 3S LiPo battery into extreme acceleration and high speed. The VX3 speed controller features modern electronics, active cooling with a fan, easy one-button setup, and telemetry support. The powerful Velineon V3200 motor represents an ideal combination of high speed, strength, and efficiency. The integrated cooling effectively maintains low motor temperatures even during demanding drives.
New GTR Shocks
The new GTR composite shocks absorb impacts and ensure maximum tire contact with the surface. They hold over 70% more oil than standard Ultra Shocks, are sealed with X-rings, and the spring preload can be conveniently adjusted with a nut on the shock body.
Durable Servo
The Stampede is equipped with a new powerful servo with metal gears. Together with the redesigned Bellcrank steering system with an integrated servo saver, it provides high durability, precise steering response, and long life.
Clipless Body
The unique body mounting system using notches in the wheel wells allows for quick and easy battery changes, and the clean look of the model is not interrupted by clips. Robust latches securely hold the body regardless of how rough the ride is. The body features an aerodynamic shape that increases downforce for stability even at high speeds.
Low Center of Gravity Chassis
The low center of gravity chassis positions the battery and electronics as low as possible, which increases stability and speed through corners.
Extreme Heavy Duty Components
The factory-installed kit upgrades exposed parts of the model for increased durability. Individual parts are made from the most durable materials used by Traxxas. Whether traversing challenging terrain or jumping on ramps, the kit is designed to last as long as possible.
2WD Drive System
Magnum 272 Transmission
The rear-wheel drive is accomplished through the proven Magnum 272 gearbox, which is positioned with the motor behind the rear axle, ensuring maximum loading of the rear wheels and high traction. The gearbox features a friction clutch and planetary differential.
Friction Clutch
The Revo Spec Torque Control friction clutch ensures smooth power transfer and is adjustable. When properly set, the slip rate protects the drive system without reducing the model's acceleration.
Rear Differential
The composite planetary differential is equipped with a steel gear ring and hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during demanding drives. This type of differential requires no maintenance and its efficient design reliably distributes torque between the rear wheels.
Robust Gear Teeth
The pinion and spur gear utilize a robust 32DP gear module for reliable power transmission from the brushless motor. Compared to the standard gear module (48DP), it is 1.5 times larger.
Drive Shafts
Drive shafts are reinforced at critical points for higher motor performance. The output shafts extend to hex wheel adapters.
Ball Bearings
Large ball bearings are used throughout the drive system for smooth operation. The bearings are equipped with a plastic cover to prevent dirt from entering. This solution extends the life and simplifies the maintenance of the model.
Electronics
Steering Servo
The model is controlled by the Traxxas 2057 digital servo. The servo is equipped with two ball bearings on the hexagonal shaft and metal gears for maximum durability. The servo design is waterproof*.
Brushless V3200 Motor
The model is powered by the powerful Velineon V3200 brushless motor. The newly designed motor includes intake openings and an internal cooling fan on the shaft that drives air through the center of the motor, reducing temperature and maintaining consistent performance. The metal housing also dissipates additional heat from the motor.

VX3 Electronic Speed Controller
The waterproof* VX3 electronic brushless speed controller features modern electronics powered by 2-3S LiPo (NiMH batteries are not supported). It retains the simplicity of programming with one EZ-Set® button and three driving modes, including the Training mode – Training Mode. For a more natural feel, braking is more linear, with greater motion accuracy. The controller supports telemetry. A large aluminum heatsink dissipates heat. The electronics are waterproof*.
VX3 Controller Modes
- Sport: Default mode, forward driving, braking, and reverse are possible.
- Race: Mode suitable for racing. Forward driving and brake are possible; reverse is not available.
- Training: Mode suitable for children or novice drivers. Forward driving with power limited to 50%, brake, and reverse again with 50% power limitation.
TQi Sport Receiver
The Traxxas TQi Sport 2.4 GHz three-channel receiver ensures secure control without dropouts. Pairing is easy with one button. Status is indicated by an LED. The receiver integrates 3-axis MEMS sensors for position and motion sensing.
Traxxas TQi Sport Transmitter
The model is controlled by the Traxxas TQi Sport two-channel proportional steering transmitter, operating in the 2.4 GHz band – interference-free operation. The transmitter is powered by only 4 AA batteries.
On the transmitter, there is a rotary knob to trim the steering (to ensure the model goes straight when the steering wheel is in the center position). The battery status in the transmitter is indicated by an LED. With the press of one button, you can set channel reversals, end points, and TSM on/off as well as the model type. Additionally, it includes:

Traxxas Stability Management
The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) stabilization system allows you to experience not only performance, speed, acceleration, and cornering at extreme speeds but ensures much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces like dirt, smooth concrete, or even ice and snow.
The receiver features an MEMS 3-axis gyro and accelerometer that evaluate the model's movement approximately 100 times per second and corrects the vehicle's direction via appropriate interventions in the steering of the front wheels. Traxxas TSM does not limit motor power – you have 100% control over the motor output. The algorithms are tuned for each model individually. TSM can be turned on or off via the TQi Sport transmitter.
