The RC car model Stampede 2WD VX3 is a typical monster truck with high ground clearance and large wheels. It is suitable for driving in tough terrain, jumping, and overcoming obstacles! The new Stampede is not only improved, but it also has a new chassis for an even higher level of performance, durability, and user comfort. Thanks to its new brushless drive powered by 2-3S LiPo, the model can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h. This speed is achieved even with the factory pinion, which is an increase of about 25% compared to the previous drive. The drive components have improved cooling, and the controller includes integrated telemetry support. Excellent maneuverability is enhanced by the electronic TSM driving stabilization. With a 2WD rear-wheel drive, the model is lighter and has a simpler construction. For high durability, the model is factory equipped with the Extreme Heavy Duty component.
The model features a carefully tuned chassis with independent suspension, allowing it to handle demanding terrain effortlessly. The motor with gearbox and rear differential is positioned behind the rear axle for maximum traction. New GTR composite shocks improve the driving characteristics. Durable bumpers protect the model during impacts. Easy access to the model including the battery without screws in the body is ensured by clips.
For children and beginners, it is advisable to initially operate the model with a 2S LiPo battery, which reduces the maximum speed to 56 km/h. Additionally, the controller offers three driving modes, including a Training mode where power is limited to 50%. This makes the Stampede a versatile model that you can initially use at lower power and gradually increase as your driving skills improve. Control is provided by the new TQi Sport 2.4 GHz RC set.
Main innovations
New VX3 drive
The new VX3 brushless drive can convert the energy from a 3S LiPo battery into extreme acceleration and high speed. The VX3 speed controller features modern electronics, active fan cooling, easy one-button setup, and telemetry support. The powerful Velineon V3200 motor represents the ideal combination of high speed, power, and efficiency. The integrated cooling effectively maintains low motor temperatures even during demanding rides.
New GTR shocks
The new GTR composite shocks absorb impacts and ensure maximum tire contact with the surface. They hold over 70% more oil than standard Ultra Shocks, are sealed with X-rings, and the spring pre-load can be conveniently adjusted with a nut on the shock body.
Durable servo
The Stampede is equipped with a new powerful servo with metal gears. Combined with a redesigned Bellcrank steering system with an integrated servo saver, it provides high durability, precise steering response, and long lifespan.
Clipless body
The unique body mounting system using clips in the wheel wells allows for quick and easy battery changes, while the clean look of the model is not disrupted by clips. Robust latches securely hold the body regardless of how rough the ride is. The body has an aerodynamic shape that increases downforce for stability even at high speeds.
Low center of gravity chassis
The low center of gravity chassis places the battery and electronics as low as possible, increasing stability and speed through corners.
Extreme Heavy Duty components
The factory-installed upgrade kit strengthens exposed parts of the model for increased durability. Individual parts are made from the most durable materials used by Traxxas. Whether traversing tough terrain or jumping on ramps, the kit is designed to last as long as possible.
2WD drivetrain
Magnum 272 transmission
The rear drive is realized through the proven Magnum 272 transmission, which, along with the motor, is positioned behind the rear axle, providing maximum load on the rear wheels and high traction. The transmission features a slipper clutch and planetary differential.
Slipper clutch
The Revo Spec Torque Control slipper clutch ensures smooth power transfer and is adjustable. A properly set slip rate protects the drivetrain while not reducing the model's acceleration.
Rear differential
The composite planetary differential is equipped with a steel ring gear and hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during demanding rides. This type of differential requires no maintenance and its efficient design reliably distributes torque between the rear wheels.
Robust gear teeth
The pinion and spur gear utilize a robust 32DP gear module for reliable power transfer from the brushless motor. Compared to the standard gear module (48DP), it is 1.5× larger.
Drive shafts
The drive shafts are reinforced at critical points for higher motor performance. The output shafts lead into hexagonal wheel adapters.
Ball bearings
Large ball bearings are used throughout the drivetrain for smooth operation. The bearings are fitted with a plastic cover to prevent dirt from entering. This solution extends the life and simplifies maintenance of the model.
Electronics
Steering servo
The model's steering is provided by the Traxxas 2057 digital servo. The servo features two ball bearings on the shaft and metal gears for maximum durability. The servo's construction is waterproof*.
V3200 brushless motor
The model is powered by the powerful Velineon V3200 brushless motor. The new design motor includes intake vents and an internal cooling fan on the shaft that drives air through the center of the motor, reducing temperature and maintaining consistent performance. The metal housing also dissipates additional heat from the motor.

VX3 electronic speed controller
Waterproof* electronic brushless speed controller VX3 features modern electronics powered by 2-3S LiPo (NiMH batteries are not supported). It retains simple one-button EZ-Set® programming and three driving modes, including a training mode – Training Mode. For a more natural feel, braking is more linear, with greater precision in motion. The controller supports telemetry. A large aluminum heatsink dissipates heat. The electronics are waterproof*.
VX3 controller modes
- Sport: Default mode, forward driving, braking, and reverse are possible.
- Race: Mode suitable for racing. Forward driving and brake are possible; reverse is not available.
- Training: Mode suitable for kids or novice drivers. Forward driving is possible with power limited to 50%, braking, and reverse also limited to 50% power.
TQi Sport receiver
The Traxxas TQi Sport 2.4 GHz three-channel receiver ensures reliable control without dropouts. Pairing is easy with a single button. Status is indicated by an LED. The receiver features integrated 3-axis MEMS sensors for position and motion detection.
Traxxas TQi Sport transmitter
The model is controlled by the Traxxas TQi Sport two-channel proportional transmitter, operating in the 2.4 GHz band – interference-free operation. The transmitter is powered by only 4 AA batteries.
The transmitter features a rotary knob for trimming the steering (to keep the model going straight when the steering is in the center position). The battery status in the transmitter is indicated by an LED. Using one button, you can set the channel reverses, endpoint adjustments, TSM on/off, and model type. Additionally, it includes:

Traxxas Stability Management
The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) system allows you to experience not only performance, speed, acceleration, and cornering at extreme speeds but also ensures much easier handling and control on slippery surfaces, such as dust, smooth concrete, or even ice and snow.
The receiver includes a MEMS 3-axis gyro and accelerometer, which evaluate the model's motion 100 times per second, and with appropriate interventions in the front wheel steering corrects the car's direction. Traxxas TSM does not limit motor power – you have 100% control over motor performance. The algorithms are finely tuned for each model individually. TSM can be turned on or off via the TQi Sport transmitter.
