The RC model car Stampede 2WD VX3 is a typical monster truck with high ground clearance and large wheels. It is suitable for driving even in rough terrain, jumping, and overcoming obstacles! The new Stampede is not just improved but also features a new chassis for an even higher level of performance, durability, and user comfort. Thanks to the new brushless drive powered by 2-3S LiPo, the model can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h. It even achieves this speed with the factory pinion, representing an increase of approximately 25% compared to the previous drive. The drive components have enhanced cooling, and the controller includes integrated telemetry support. Excellent maneuverability is aided by electronic stability management TSM. With 2WD rear-wheel drive, the model is lighter and has a simpler design. For high durability, the model comes factory-equipped with Extreme Heavy Duty components.
The model has a carefully tuned chassis with independent suspension, allowing it to easily handle challenging terrain. The motor with transmission and rear differential are positioned behind the rear axle for maximum traction. The new GTR composite shocks improve driving characteristics. Durable bumpers protect the model during collisions. Easy access to the model, including the battery, is facilitated by a body with pins.
For children and beginners, it is advisable to initially operate the model with a 2S LiPo battery, which reduces the maximum speed to 56 km/h. The controller also offers three driving modes, including a Training mode where power is limited to 50%. Because of this, the Stampede is a versatile model that you can start using at lower power and gradually increase as your driving skills improve. The new RC system TQi Sport 2.4 GHz ensures control.
Main Features
New VX3 Drive
The new VX3 brushless drive can transform the energy of a 3S LiPo battery into extreme acceleration and high speed. The VX3 speed controller features modern electronics, active cooling via a fan, easy one-button setup, and telemetry support. The powerful Velineon V3200 motor represents an ideal combination of high speed, power, and efficiency. The integrated cooling effectively maintains the motor's low temperature even during demanding driving.
New GTR Shocks
The new GTR composite shocks absorb impacts and ensure maximum contact of the wheels with the surface. They hold over 70% more oil than standard Ultra Shocks, are sealed with X-rings, and the spring preload can be easily adjusted with a nut on the shock body.
Durable Servo
The Stampede is equipped with a new powerful servo with metal gears. Together with the redesigned Bellcrank steering system featuring an integrated servo saver, it provides high durability, precise steering response, and long lifespan.
Body Without Clips
The unique body mounting system using clips in the wheel wells allows for quick and easy battery replacement and gives the model a clean look without clips. Robust latches securely hold the body regardless of how rough the ride is. The body has an aerodynamic shape that increases downforce for stability even at high speeds.
Low Center of Gravity Chassis
The low center of gravity chassis places the battery and electronics as low as possible, which increases stability and cornering speed.
Extreme Heavy Duty Components
The factory-installed kit upgrades exposed parts of the model for greater durability. The individual parts are made from the most durable materials that Traxxas uses. Whether you navigate tough terrain or jump off ramps, the kit is designed to last as long as possible.
2WD Drive System
Magnum 272 Transmission
Rear-wheel drive is achieved through the proven Magnum 272 transmission, which is positioned behind the rear axle together with the motor to ensure maximum load on the rear wheels and high traction. The transmission includes a friction coupling and planet gear differential.
Friction Coupling
The Revo Spec Torque Control friction coupling ensures smooth power transfer and is adjustable. A properly set slippage rate protects the drive system while not reducing the model's acceleration.
Rear Differential
The composite planet gear differential is equipped with a steel ring gear and hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during demanding rides. This type of differential requires no maintenance and its efficient design reliably distributes torque between the rear wheels.
Robust Gear Teeth
The pinion and spur gear use a robust 32DP tooth module for reliable power transfer from the brushless motor. Compared to the standard tooth module (48DP), it is 1.5× larger.
Drive Shafts
The drive shafts are reinforced in critical areas for higher motor performance. The output shafts extend into hex wheel hubs.
Ball Bearings
Large ball bearings are used throughout the drive system for smooth operation. The bearings are covered with a plastic shield to prevent dirt from entering. This solution extends the lifespan and simplifies model maintenance.
Electronics
Steering Servo
The model is controlled by the Traxxas 2057 digital servo. The servo features two ball bearings on the shaft and metal gears for maximum durability. The servo construction is waterproof*.
V3200 Brushless Motor
The model is powered by the powerful Velineon V3200 brushless motor. This newly designed motor includes intake ports and an internal cooling fan on the shaft that drives air through the center of the motor, reducing temperature and maintaining consistent performance. The metal casing further dissipates additional heat from the motor.

VX3 Electronic Speed Controller
The waterproof* VX3 electronic brushless controller features modern electronics with 2-3S LiPo power (NiMH batteries are not supported). It retains the simplicity of one-button programming with EZ-Set® and offers three driving modes, including training mode – Training Mode. For a more natural feel, the braking is more linear, with greater precision in movement. The controller supports telemetry. A large aluminum heat sink dissipates heat. The electronics are waterproof*.
VX3 Controller Modes
- Sport: Default mode, forward, braking, and reverse are allowed.
- Race: Mode suitable for racing. Forward and brake are allowed; reverse is not available.
- Training: Mode suitable for children or beginner drivers. Forward driving is possible with performance limited to 50%, braking, and reverse driving again limited to 50% power.
TQi Sport Receiver
The three-channel Traxxas TQi Sport 2.4 GHz receiver ensures safe control without dropouts. Pairing is easy with one button. Status is indicated by an LED. Integrated 3-axis MEMS sensors in the receiver detect position and movement.
Traxxas TQi Sport Transmitter
The model is controlled by a two-channel proportional wheel transmitter Traxxas TQi Sport, operating in the 2.4 GHz band – interference-free operation. The transmitter is powered by only 4 AA cells.
The transmitter features a rotary knob for trimming the steering (to keep the model driving straight when the steering wheel is centered). Battery status in the transmitter is indicated by an LED. One button on the transmitter allows for channel reversing, endpoint adjustment, TSM on/off, and model type selection. Additionally, it includes:

Traxxas Stability Management
The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) stabilization system allows you to experience not only power, speed, acceleration, and cornering at extreme speeds but also ensures much easier handling and control on slippery surfaces like dust, smooth concrete, or even ice and snow.
The receiver features MEMS 3-axis gyro and accelerometer that assess the model's motion approximately 100 times per second and correct the driving direction of the car by making suitable adjustments to the front wheel steering. Traxxas TSM does not limit motor power – you have 100% control over the motor's power. The algorithms are fine-tuned for each model individually. TSM can be turned on or off via the TQi Sport transmitter.
