The RC car model Stampede 2WD VX3 is a typical monster truck with high ground clearance and large wheels. It is suitable for driving even in tough terrain, jumping, and overcoming obstacles! The new Stampede is not just improved but also has a new chassis for an even higher level of performance, durability, and user comfort. Thanks to the new brushless drive powered by 2-3S LiPo, the model reaches speeds of up to 80 km/h. It can achieve this speed even with the factory pinion, which represents an increase of about 25% compared to the previous drive. The drive components have improved cooling, and the controller includes integrated telemetry support. Excellent handling is enhanced by electronic stabilization of TSM driving. With 2WD rear-wheel drive, the model is lighter and has a simpler construction. For high durability, the model comes factory-equipped with component Extreme Heavy Duty.
The model has a carefully tuned chassis with independent suspension, allowing it to easily tackle demanding terrain. The motor with transmission and rear differential are located behind the rear axle for maximum traction. New GTR composite shock absorbers improve driving characteristics. Durable bumpers protect the model in case of impacts. Easy access to the model, including the battery, without clips on the body.
For children and beginners, it is advisable to operate the model first with a 2S LiPo battery, which reduces the maximum speed to 56 km/h. The controller also offers three driving modes, including a Training mode, where power is limited to 50%. This makes Stampede a versatile model that can initially be used with lower power and gradually increased as your driving skills improve. Control is provided by the new TQi Sport 2.4 GHz RC system.
Main Innovations
New VX3 Drive
The new VX3 brushless drive can convert the energy of a 3S LiPo battery into extreme acceleration and high speed. The VX3 speed controller features modern electronics, active cooling with a fan, easy one-button setup, and telemetry support. The powerful Velineon V3200 motor represents the ideal combination of high speed, power, and efficiency. Integrated cooling effectively maintains low motor temperatures even during demanding driving.
New GTR Shock Absorbers
The new GTR composite shock absorbers absorb impacts and ensure maximum wheel contact with the surface. They hold over 70% more oil than standard Ultra Shocks, are sealed with X-rings, and spring preload can be conveniently adjusted with a nut on the shock body.
Durable Servo
Stampede is equipped with a new powerful servo with metal gears. Along with the redesigned Bellcrank steering system with an integrated servo saver, it provides high durability, precise steering response, and long service life.
Clipless Body
The unique body mounting system using clips in the wheel wells allows for quick and easy battery changes, and the clean look of the model is not disrupted by clips. Robust latches firmly hold the body regardless of how rough the ride is. The body has an aerodynamic shape that increases downforce for stability even at high speeds.
Low Center of Gravity Chassis
The low center of gravity chassis places the battery and electronics as low as possible, enhancing stability and speed through corners.
Extreme Heavy Duty Components
The factory-installed kit upgrades exposed parts of the model for higher durability. Individual parts are made from the most durable materials used by Traxxas. Whether you’re navigating rough terrain or jumping off ramps, the kit is designed to last as long as possible.
2WD Drive System
Magnum 272 Transmission
The rear wheel drive is achieved through the proven Magnum 272 transmission, which is located behind the rear axle along with the motor, ensuring maximum loading of the rear wheels and high traction. The transmission features a friction clutch and planetary differential.
Friction Clutch
The Revo Spec Torque Control friction clutch ensures smooth power transfer and is adjustable. Properly set slippage protects the drive system while not reducing the model’s acceleration.
Rear Differential
The composite planetary differential is equipped with a steel crown gear and hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during demanding driving. This type of differential requires no maintenance and its efficient design reliably distributes torque between the rear wheels.
Robust Gear Teeth
The pinion and spur gear use a robust 32DP tooth module for reliable power transmission from the brushless motor. Compared to common tooth modules (48DP), it is 1.5× larger.
Drive Shafts
Drive shafts are reinforced in critical areas for higher motor performance. Output shafts lead to hexagonal wheel carriers.
Ball Bearings
Large ball bearings are used throughout the drive system for smooth operation. The bearings are shielded with a plastic cover to prevent dirt from entering, extending the lifespan and simplifying maintenance of the model.
Electronics
Steering Servo
Steering of the model is provided by the digital Traxxas 2057 servo. The servo is equipped with two ball bearings on the shaft and metal gears for maximum durability. The servo's design is waterproof*.
V3200 Brushless Motor
The model is powered by a powerful Velineon V3200 brushless motor. The newly designed motor features intake vents and an internal cooling fan on the shaft that pushes air through the center of the motor, lowering temperature and maintaining consistent performance. The metal casing also dissipates additional heat from the motor.

VX3 Electronic Speed Controller
The waterproof* VX3 electronic brushless speed controller features modern electronics with support for 2-3S LiPo (NiMH batteries are not supported). It retains the simplicity of programming with one-button EZ-Set® and three driving modes, including training mode – Training Mode. For a more natural feel, braking is more linear, with greater precision in movement. The controller supports telemetry. A large aluminum heatsink dissipates heat. The electronics are waterproof*.
VX3 Controller Modes
- Sport: Default mode; forward driving, braking, and reverse are available.
- Race: Racing mode; forward driving and brake are available; reverse is not available.
- Training: Mode suitable for children or beginner drivers; forward driving is available with power limited to 50%, braking, and reverse again limited to 50% power.
TQi Sport Receiver
The Traxxas TQi Sport 2.4 GHz three-channel receiver ensures safe operation without dropouts. Pairing is easy with one button. Status is indicated by an LED. The receiver integrates 3-axis MEMS sensors for position and motion detection.
Traxxas TQi Sport Transmitter
The model is controlled by a two-channel proportional wheel transmitter Traxxas TQi Sport, operating in the 2.4 GHz band – interference-free operation. The transmitter is powered by four AA batteries.
The transmitter features a rotary knob for trimming steering (to keep the model driving straight when the wheel is in the center position). The transmitter battery status is indicated by an LED. With one button, you can set channel reverses, end points, TSM on/off, and model type. Additionally, it includes:

Traxxas Stability Management
The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) system allows you to experience not only performance, speed, acceleration, and cornering at extreme speeds, but also ensures much simpler driving and control on slippery surfaces like dust, smooth concrete, or even ice and snow.
The receiver has3-axis MEMS gyro and accelerometer that evaluate the model's movement approximately 100 times per second and make appropriate adjustments to the steering of the front wheels to correct the car's direction. Traxxas TSM does not limit motor power – you have 100% control over the motor's performance. The algorithms are tuned for each model individually. TSM can be turned on or off via the TQi Sport transmitter.
