The RC car model Stampede 2WD VX3 is a typical monster truck with high ground clearance and large wheels. It is suitable for driving even in tough terrain, jumping, and overcoming obstacles! The new Stampede is not just an upgrade; it also features a new chassis for an even higher level of performance, durability, and user comfort. Thanks to the new brushless drive powered by 2-3S LiPo, the model can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h. This speed is achieved even with the factory pinion, which represents an increase of approximately 25% compared to the previous drive. The drive components have improved cooling, and the ESC includes built-in telemetry support. Excellent maneuverability is aided by electronic stability management TSM. With 2WD drive to the rear wheels, the model is lighter and has a simpler construction. For high durability, the model comes factory-equipped with Extreme Heavy Duty components.
The model features a carefully tuned chassis with independent suspension, allowing it to handle challenging terrain effortlessly. The motor with gearbox and rear differential is mounted behind the rear axle for maximum traction. New GTR composite shocks improve ride characteristics. Durable bumpers protect the model during impacts. Easy access to the model, including the battery, without a clipped body with notches.
For children and beginners, it is advisable to operate the model first with a 2S LiPo battery, which reduces the maximum speed to 56 km/h. The ESC also offers three driving modes, including a Training mode where power is limited to 50%. This makes the Stampede a versatile model that you can initially use with lower power and gradually increase as your driving experience grows. Control is ensured by the new TQi Sport 2.4 GHz RC system.
Main Innovations
New VX3 Drive
The new VX3 brushless drive can convert the energy of a 3S LiPo battery into extreme acceleration and high speed. The VX3 ESC features modern electronics, active cooling with a fan, easy one-button setup, and telemetry support. The powerful Velineon V3200 motor represents the ideal combination of high speed, power, and efficiency. Its integrated cooling effectively maintains low temperatures even during demanding driving.
New GTR Shocks
The new GTR composite shocks absorb impacts and ensure maximum tire contact with the surface. They hold over 70% more oil than standard Ultra Shocks and are sealed with X-rings, while the spring preload can be easily adjusted with a nut on the shock body.
Durable Servo
The Stampede is equipped with a new powerful servo with metal gears. In conjunction with the redesigned Bellcrank steering system with an integrated servo saver, it provides high durability, precise steering response, and long lifespan.
Clipsless Body
The unique body mounting system using notches at the wheel wells allows for quick and easy battery changes, and the clean look of the model is not disrupted by clips. Robust latches securely hold the body regardless of how rough the ride is. The body has an aerodynamic shape that increases downforce for stability even at high speeds.
Low Center of Gravity Chassis
The low center of gravity chassis places the battery and electronics as low as possible, enhancing stability and cornering speed.
Extreme Heavy Duty Components
The factory-installed set upgrades exposed parts of the model for higher durability. Individual parts are made from the most durable materials used by Traxxas. Whether traversing difficult terrain or jumping on ramps, the set is designed to last as long as possible.
2WD Drive System
Magnum 272 Gearbox
The rear drive is realized through the proven Magnum 272 gearbox, which is mounted with the motor behind the rear axle, providing maximum load on the rear wheels and high traction. The gearbox includes a slipper clutch and planetary differential.
Slipper Clutch
The Revo Spec Torque Control slipper clutch ensures smooth power transfer and is adjustable. The correctly set slip rate protects the drivetrain without reducing the model's acceleration.
Rear Differential
The composite planetary differential is equipped with a steel gear ring and hardened steel inner gears for maximum strength during demanding rides. This type of differential requires no maintenance, and its efficient design reliably distributes torque between the rear wheels.
Robust Gear Teeth
Both the pinion and spur gear utilize a robust 32DP gear module for reliable power transmission from the brushless motor. Compared to the common 48DP gear module, it is 1.5× larger.
Drive Shafts
Drive shafts are reinforced at critical points for higher motor performance. The output shafts lead into hexagonal wheel hubs.
Ball Bearings
Large ball bearings are used throughout the driveline for smooth operation. The bearings are fitted with plastic shields to prevent dirt from entering. This solution extends the lifespan and simplifies the model's maintenance.
Electronics
Servo Steering
The model's steering is managed by the Traxxas 2057 digital servo. The servo features two ball bearings on the hexagonal shaft and metal gears for maximum durability. The servo design is water-resistant*.
V3200 Brushless Motor
The model is powered by the powerful Velineon V3200 brushless motor. The new design motor includes intake ports and an internal cooling fan on the shaft, which drives air through the center of the motor, reducing temperature and maintaining consistent performance. The metal casing also dissipates additional heat from the motor.

VX3 Electronic Speed Controller
The water-resistant* electronic brushless VX3 speed controller features modern electronics capable of powering 2-3S LiPo (NiMH batteries are not supported). It retains the simplicity of one-button EZ-Set® programming and features three driving modes, including a Training Mode. For a more natural feel, braking is more linear with greater precision of movement. The ESC supports telemetry. A large aluminum heatsink dissipates heat. The electronics are water-resistant*.
VX3 Regulator Modes
- Sport: Default mode, forward driving, braking, and reverse possible.
- Race: Mode suitable for racing. Forward driving and braking possible; reverse is unavailable.
- Training: Mode suitable for kids or beginner drivers. Forward driving with power limit set to 50%, braking, and reverse also with power limit set to 50%.
TQi Sport Receiver
The Traxxas TQi Sport 2.4 GHz three-channel receiver ensures safe control without dropouts. Pairing is easy with a single button. Status is indicated by an LED light. The receiver integrates 3-axis MEMS sensors for position and motion detection.
Traxxas TQi Sport Transmitter
The model is controlled by the Traxxas TQi Sport two-channel proportional wheel transmitter, operating in the 2.4 GHz band – interference-free operation. The transmitter is powered by just 4 AA batteries.
The transmitter has a rotating knob to trim the steering (so the model goes straight when the wheel is in a neutral position). The battery status in the transmitter is indicated by an LED light. Using one button, you can set channel reversals, end points, TSM on/off, and model type on the transmitter. Additionally, it includes:

Traxxas Stability Management
The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) system allows you to experience not only performance, speed, acceleration, and cornering at extreme speeds, but also ensures much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete, or even ice and snow.
The receiver contains a MEMS 3-axis gyro and accelerometer, which evaluate the model's movement roughly 100 times per second, and through appropriate steering interventions of the front wheels, it corrects the direction of the car model's travel. Traxxas TSM does not restrict motor power – you have 100% control over the motor's output. The algorithms are fine-tuned for each model individually. TSM can be activated or deactivated via the TQi Sport transmitter.
