XLPOWER Stratos 700 – a new generation of precision and performance
The XLPOWER Stratos 700 is a top-class 700 size RC helicopter designed for the most demanding 3D aerobatics. The completely new design combines an exceptionally rigid carbon frame, redesigned mechanics for the main and tail rotors, and a robust power system with a focus on control precision, reliability, and easy maintenance.
The foundation of the mechanics is a carbon frame with upper side panels 2.5 mm thick and lower parts 2 mm thick. The new construction integrates the main shaft bearing block with servo housing, while the one-piece motor mount ensures precise gear alignment. The main shaft and related mechanics are positioned 15 mm lower, which, together with the centralization of mass, contributes to quicker response and a more stable flight performance.
The redesigned rotor head with 1:1 control geometry and exceptionally short, inversely mounted phase arms provides precise and direct response even during extreme 3D maneuvers. The cyclic plate features an enlarged dual-row bearing with angular contact dimensions of 35 × 47 × 10 mm. The kit includes a rigid rotor head damping optimized for aggressive 3D flying.
The new power system utilizes an enlarged freewheel with 50% higher torque transfer capacity and a reinforced tail rotor belt drive. The completely redesigned tail mechanics with an 8 mm shaft, 6 mm drive pin and NSK bearings ensure high precision and durability. The profiled aluminum tail boom conceals a one-piece titanium tail pushrod with a diameter of 3 mm, while the optimized tail blade grips help reduce the load on the tail servo.
The Stratos 700 also offers a range of practical solutions, including a quick-release battery tray compatible with XLPOWER Specter, integrated channels for cable management, and easy access to mechanical components. The helicopter is designed for 12S LiPo drive with a recommended capacity of 5000–6000 mAh.
