XLPOWER Stratos 700 – a new generation of precision and performance

The XLPOWER Stratos 700 is a top-tier 700-size RC helicopter designed for the most demanding 3D acrobatics. The completely new design combines an exceptionally stiff carbon frame, redesigned mechanics for the main and tail rotor, and a robust power system focusing on control precision, reliability, and easy maintenance.

The foundation of the mechanics is a carbon frame with upper side plates of 2.5 mm thickness and lower parts of 2 mm thickness. The new design integrates a bearing block for the main shaft with servo mounting, while the one-piece motor mount ensures precise gear alignment. The main shaft and subsequent mechanics are located 15 mm lower, contributing to faster response and more stable flight performance together with weight centralization.

The redesigned rotor head with 1:1 control geometry and extremely short, inverted-mounted phasing arms provides precise and direct response even during extreme 3D maneuvers. The cyclic plate uses an enlarged double-row bearing with tapered contact measuring 35 × 47 × 10 mm. The kit includes a rigid rotor head damping optimized for aggressive 3D flying.

The new power system features an enlarged freewheel with 50% higher torque transfer capacity and a reinforced gear drive for the tail rotor. The completely redesigned tail mechanics with an 8 mm shaft, 6 mm rotor grips, and NSK bearings ensure high precision and durability. The profiled aluminum tail boom hides a one-piece titanium tail rod with a diameter of 3 mm, while optimized tail blade grips help reduce the load on the tail servo.

The Stratos 700 also offers a range of practical solutions including a quick-release battery tray compatible with XLPOWER Specter, integrated channels for cable management, and easy access to mechanical components. The helicopter is designed for 12S LiPo power with a recommended capacity of 5000–6000 mAh.
