XLPOWER Stratos 700 – a new generation of precision and performance

The XLPOWER Stratos 700 is a top-of-the-line 700-size RC helicopter designed for the most demanding 3D aerobatics. Its entirely new design combines an exceptionally rigid carbon frame, a redesigned mechanics for the main and tail rotor, and a robust drive system emphasizing control precision, reliability, and easy maintenance.

The core of the mechanics is a carbon frame with upper side plates of 2.5 mm thickness and lower parts of 2 mm thickness. The new design integrates the main shaft bearing block with servo storage, while the one-piece motor mount ensures precise gear alignment. The main shaft and associated mechanics are positioned 15 mm lower, contributing to a quicker response and more stable flight characteristics with optimized weight centralization.

The redesigned rotor head features a 1:1 control geometry and an exceptionally short, inverted-mounted phase arm, providing precise and direct response even during extreme 3D maneuvers. The cyclic plate utilizes a larger double-row bearing with angular contact measures of 35 × 47 × 10 mm. The kit includes a rigid rotor head damping optimized for aggressive 3D flight.

The new drive system utilizes an enlarged freewheel with 50% higher torque transfer capacity and a reinforced tail rotor belt drive. The completely redesigned tail mechanics with an 8 mm shaft, 6 mm pitch pins, and NSK bearings ensure high precision and durability. The profiled aluminum tail boom conceals a one-piece titanium tail rod with a diameter of 3 mm, while the optimized tail blade holders help reduce the load on the tail servo.

The Stratos 700 also offers a number of practical solutions, including a quick-release battery tray compatible with XLPOWER Specter, integrated channels for cable management, and easy access to mechanical components. The helicopter is designed for 12S LiPo power with a recommended capacity of 5000–6000 mAh.
