Send a question3D aerobatic motor glider with a span of 1512 mm made of almost indestructible, carbon-reinforced extruded foam polyolefin (EPO). Equipped with a C2820-1450 brushless motor, a 7x6" folding propeller, an R-20B Plus controller and 4 microservos with metal gears. Controlled rudder, floating elevator and floating wing halves.
With our new 3D aerobatic motor glider Twisty you will be able to have a lot of fun on the flat and on the slope. It not only has large control surfaces, as is usual with 3D models, but in addition to a floating elevator, it is also equipped with floating lifting surfaces.
Twisty is at home on mountain slopes, seaside cliffs or dunes, where it can really take off in strong winds. To make it fun even where the hills aren't too high and the wind is only gentle, we've added a powerful brushless motor with a folding propeller.
Hull
The fuselage of the model is made of highly durable EPO foam (extruded polyolefin) with thorough internal carbon reinforcements. In the bow is installed a C2820-1450 brushless electric motor with a 7x6" folding propeller and a Kavan R-20SB Plus controller.
Wing
The model's EPO foam wing is a two-piece, carbon-reinforced wing. The wing halves slide onto a carbon tube connector and are secured in place with screws. The wings are independently controlled by two servos with short straight wire rods. For easy neutral adjustment, there are triangular marks on the fuselage that determine the center position of the trailing edge.
Tail surfaces
The tail surfaces are also made of EPO foam and reinforced with carbon. The horizontal tail surface is floating, its halves are slid onto a carbon tube connector and secured with screws. For easy adjustment of the neutral position, there are triangular marks on the fuselage indicating the center position of the elevator leading edge.
Cabin
The cockpit cover is removable, secured with a pin at the front and a mechanical lock at the rear. In the nose you will find enough space for the propulsion battery and receiver. Microservos with metal gears for controlling the wing halves, rudder and elevator are stored in the space under the wing.
Recommended drive battery
For power, you will need a 3S LiPo battery with a capacity of 1300 mAh and a charge rate of at least 30C, equipped with an XT60 power connector. Choose the specific type so that the correct center of gravity position works out best for you without further weighing.
Recommended RC kit
To control the model, you will need at least a 6-channel computerized RC kit that allows independent control of the wing halves (ailerons) with two servos and has an elevator-flaper mix (camber) to increase maneuverability.
Of course, the manual includes a thorough table with proven default rudder deflection settings (including mixers) to easily prepare Twisty for flight.
Package contents
The package includes a finished fuselage, wings and tail made of EPO foam, as well as an installed motor, propeller, speed controller and 4 servos. The package also includes instructions for use.
