Product Description
Kavan KAV02.8084RTFV5 - KAVAN Beta 1400 RTF - modrá
Although it retains the features of the original BETA 1400 externally, the BETA 1400 under the KAVAN brand is a completely new model with slightly different dimensions, a new wing profile, a new brushless motor with a folding propeller and a much more sophisticated design. New molds and advances in foam molding technology ensure that all parts are much finer and more precise. The BETA 1400 - a durable school and training workhorse - is ideal for novice pilots, taking them from the initial pounding of the landing area to basic aerobatic maneuvers and thermal gliding. It will also please recreational weekend flyers, providing them with a compact and easily transportable model for perfectly relaxing flying. And you can use the KAVAN V5 computer RC kit for many other and much more advanced models that you will purchase in the future!
The BETA 1400 is a school and training motor glider made of highly durable extruded polyolefin EPO, powered by a brushless motor. Thanks to its concept with the motor mounted on a pylon behind the wing, it withstands rough handling very well and can withstand even harder "sniffing" of the nose into the native clod, which would at least lead to propeller damage in classic models with a motor in the nose.
The fuselage with a mounted AC motor (with a rotating shroud, C2814-1400) located in a pylon behind the wing with a folding propeller, equipped with a KAVAN R-20B controller and GO-09 rudder and elevator servos is molded from foam EPO with longitudinal carbon reinforcements. The cabin cover is removable with magnetic closures. The two-piece wing is also molded from EPO, the ailerons are controlled by 2 GO-09 servos located in the wing with short straight wire rods. The wing halves are connected by a carbon tube connector and secured with a screw on the underside of the wing. The tail surfaces in the classic arrangement are molded from EPO, they are controlled using wire cables. Engine cooling is assisted by the entry of cooling air in the leading part of the pylon, the cooling air flows through channels around the engine casing.
Preparation for flight only includes gluing the tail surfaces (with medium superglue), attaching the wing halves, connecting the receiver and connecting the propulsion battery. The ailerons, rudder, elevator and engine speed are controlled.
To control the model, the kit includes a 24-channel KAVAN V5 computer RC kit, which you can use in the most basic setting with ailerons controlled by one channel - but it also allows independent control of both aileron servos for easy adjustment of their deflection differentiation and possibly mixing as aerodynamic brakes. You can further enhance the control of the model by programming double or exponential deflections.
The BETA 1400 comes with an 11.1 V 2200 mAh LiPo battery, which corresponds to a 7x6" folding propeller.
The BETA 1400 is intended for beginners - as always, we supply it - under the supervision of an experienced pilot, as well as for anyone who just wants to have a nice recreational flight. The flight characteristics are pleasant and straightforward. The model will introduce you to full-fledged control of the model around all three axes; with correct coordinated control of the rudder, ailerons and elevator. You will "find" this experience at the latest right after you start flying your first aerobatic model or (semi)scale model of any kind. The design of the control rods and the supplied KAVAN V5 computer transmitter allow you to set the deflection sizes in a wide range. A beginner will start with small deflections, safe even with excessive "steering"; an experienced pilot will set large ones, allowing for a bit of basic "motor-glider" aerobatics - somersaults, barrel rolls, head-turns are quite good for the Beta! The engine power is sufficient for a very lively climb, but the model is not overpowered, which could be a problem for novice pilots. The BETA 1400 can also use not very strong thermals and can last "for ages" in the sky.
The RTF set includes: a fuselage molded from EPO with a mounted brushless motor, a 7x6" folding propeller, a KAVAN R-20B speed controller and 2 servos, a wing molded from EPO with 2 servos installed, EPO tail surfaces, a carbon tube wing connector, a KAVAN V5 2.4GHz transmitter with a six-channel 2.4GHz R6L telemetry receiver, a LiPo 11.1 V 2200 mAh battery, a mains fast charger and detailed instructions for building and flying.
