Hobbyzone AeroScout S 2 1.1m SAFE RTF Basic, RealFlight

The AeroScout S 2 beginner RC model airplane with a wingspan of 1.1 m is ideal for learning to fly. The high-wing with a pusher propeller, three-wheel landing gear with large wheels and electronic stabilization minimize the risk of damage to the model during your first attempts. This new version of the S 2 has a more durable nose wheel mount, metal-geared rudder servos, electronics with very easy-to-use model settings, and also includes a download key for the RealFlight Trainer Edition simulator , where you can master basic piloting skills and later hone aerobatic tricks without risk. The model allows absolutely anyone to learn to fly and is perfectly equipped for this. It includes AS3X electronic stabilization, which automatically compensates for wind gusts, and SAFE technology with flight modes, including the Panic function, which aligns the model in horizontal flight if you lose control of it.

An important condition of a good training model is its resistance to damage. The propeller with a trailing edge of the wing ensures perfect protection not only of the propeller itself, but also of the engine. The AeroScout S 2 model is made of very durable EPO material, which is additionally reinforced with structural elements; therefore, it withstands even rough landings by beginners very well. Large wheels with a steerable nose leg make it easy to take off and land on various surfaces, including grass in large parks, on a playground or in a meadow.

The model aircraft is equipped with a 30A AC regulator with telemetry, which transmits information to the receiver and then to the transmitter. You will see the charge level of the propulsion battery on the included DXS transmitter. If you later use a compatible Spektrum G2 transmitter with a display, you could also have a variety of telemetry data related to the systems performance in real time, including engine speed, current, battery voltage and more via the Spektrum™ AirWare™ menu. The powerful AC motor is more than enough for your first aerobatic tricks, including somersaults, turns and inverted flights. The lightweight construction and low wing area loading guarantee a wide range of flight speeds and incredible controllability, which even experienced pilots will appreciate.

The receiver also includes a new function: Upload settings from the receiver to the transmitter (Smart Transmitter File).

The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version includes a complete model equipped with electronics and a Spektrum DXS RC transmitter. Just add a 3S LiPo 11.1 V 1300–2200 mAh battery with a compatible charger! The final assembly of the finished parts is very easy: just screw the landing gear, connect the marked connectors, attach the rudder and then secure the wing with screws.

Durable construction

The concept of the model with a pusher engine arrangement perfectly protects the propeller from damage during rough landing and reduces the risk of its damage. The entire model is made in molds and foamed with super light, very stiff and yet flexible EPO material. It withstands extreme loads during training of a new pilot and can withstand impacts that, for example, caused severe destruction in a wooden structure. If the material breaks, it sticks perfectly with 2-component Epoxy and after a while you can be ready to take off again. A complete range of spare parts is available!

Simple and quick assembly

The Hobbyzone AeroScout S 2 RC airplane model comes in a box that holds the individual parts of the airplane. All of these parts are completely ready for final assembly and have the necessary electronics and drive installed, so you just need to tighten a few screws and you have a finished model in no time. Before you even charge the battery, you will have the model ready to fly.

Sturdy chassis with large wheels

The wide, stable three-wheel chassis with large tires and a steerable nose wheel will keep you entertained! Take-offs and landings will be much easier. That's why you can also go with the model on less quality surfaces that the wheels will handle safely. The three-wheel chassis is easier to start with because it is stable when starting and does not run to the side.

Optional floats

Turn the AeroScout 2 into a seaplane with the optional float kit (sold separately). Installation takes just minutes and all the necessary hardware is included with the airplane and float kit.

Smart technology

The electronics in the Spektrum Smart model send telemetry data to the transmitter. When using the included DXS transmitter, the drive battery charge level will be displayed using 4 LEDs and an audible warning will sound when discharged. For full telemetry, use a Spektrum Smart battery in the model and control it with a Spektrum Generation 2 transmitter with display (DX G2 or NX series) (not included).

Simulator in the package

RealFlight is one of the best RC flight simulators in the Trainer Edition included in the package. The simulator contains 8 models from Horizon Hobby, such as helicopters, and after 2 and 4 hours of flying, you will unlock additional models and options. (The package includes a card with a key to download the simulator from the Steam website.) An adapter and USB cable for connecting the transmitter to a PC are also included in the package.

AS3X and SAFE flight stabilization are included, which will make flying easier.

The model has integrated AS3X and SAFE stabilization. AS3X+ technology helps stabilize the model in flight. The receiver contains a three-axis MEMS gyro and accelerometer, and thanks to electronic stabilization, a quick correction of the model's control is automatically triggered, e.g. in turbulence or windy weather. The model behaves similarly to a much larger model and its flight is calm, while maintaining its full controllability. AS3X+ brings safer flight and stability when driving. SAFE technology brings even more for new pilots. 3-year modes are available according to the level of experience and the Panic function for automatic model leveling.

Beginner Mode

Beginner mode has limited elevator and aileron tilt; when the sticks are released to neutral, the model automatically returns to a horizontal position, engine speed is regulated according to climb or descent, and there is also assistance during takeoff and landing.

Advanced Mode

Advanced mode allows the model to tilt more, but will not roll over or fall. Flight positions are limited to 60° of tilt. Flight adjustments are minimal. In this mode, the automatic return to horizontal position after releasing the sticks to neutral is no longer active.

Expert Mode

In Expert flight mode, control is completely free with no corrections and no flight position restrictions. You can even fly on your back and perform aerobatic maneuvers.

Panic Recovery - Flight Recovery

If you ever lose control of the aircraft in more advanced flight modes, simply press the Panic Recovery button or switch to Beginner Mode and release the control sticks. SAFE® technology will automatically return the aircraft to level flight.
