The popular educational RC model aircraft Hobbyzone Champ 0.5m is suitable even for complete beginners. The fully assembled model contains everything you need to fly. The package includes a transmitter, a power battery and a USB charger. Newly installed exclusive AS3X and SAFE stabilization.
The model is suitable for indoor and windless flying as well as outdoor flying. The BNF version does not include a transmitter, battery and charger, it is suitable for pilots who already have some RC equipment or want to add it according to their own preferences.
The foam construction can be easily repaired if damaged using foam glue (see accessories). In case of major damage, replacement parts are available. And the fun doesn't end even after you learn to fly!
The Champ's powerful electric motor allows for longer flight times and provides enough speed and power to perform basic aerobatic maneuvers. This means that even slightly advanced pilots will appreciate the Champ for recreational flying. The Hobbyzone Champ 0.5m has controlled engine speed, elevator and rudder.

Fully assembled
The Champ comes 100% assembled and ready to fly right out of the box, meaning you only need to charge the power battery.
Endurance
The EPS construction ensures a lightweight yet durable airframe. In case of damage, it can be easily repaired using special foam-friendly instant adhesives and epoxy adhesives. If you damage any parts and cannot repair them, a full range of spare parts is available.
Learn to fly with SAFE technology
SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology simplifies control and makes flying easy for novice pilots and children. It also offers flight modes that give you more control and the ability to gradually improve at the touch of a button.
Once you are sufficiently advanced, you can turn off the SAFE function by simply pressing a button on the transmitter and try flying without assistance. Even with the SAFE function turned off, the AS3X stabilization is always active, correcting wind gusts and making the flight smoother. Furthermore, the model can be selected between larger and smaller control surface deflections for calmer or more aggressive reactions.
Beginner mode
In this flight mode, the aircraft has a pitch (forward/backward) and roll (left/right) angle limitation, which prevents the model from being put into a state where it could crash. If you release the d-paddles back to the center position, the aircraft will automatically return to level flight.
Expert mode
This flight mode has no restrictions, so you have complete control! You can even perform basic aerobatic maneuvers, including flips, spins, etc.
Package contents
The package contains an assembled RC model of the Hobbyzone Champ aircraft with installed Spektrum electronics (control unit, servos) and a DC motor with gearbox. The package also includes 2 propellers with a cone, a 1S LiPo battery with a capacity of 150 mAh, a 300 mA USB charger, an MLP transmitter in mode 2 (throttle on the left side), 4 AA batteries (pencil batteries) for the transmitter, a CZ manual and an EN, DE, FR, SP manual.
Must be purchased
To put the model into operation, you need a 4-channel Spektrum transmitter with DSM2/DSMX protocol, a 1S LiPo battery with a capacity of 150–210mAh equipped with a JST PH 1.25 power connector, and a compatible charger.
