The small RC model E-flite OV-10 Bronco with a wingspan of 0.65 m is an affordable replica of the legendary twin-engine military aircraft. It is suitable for more experienced pilots who appreciate the scale model look. The model has good controllability supported by the SAFE and AS3X+ stabilization systems . The model is fully assembled from the factory and equipped with electronics with Spektrum Smart telemetry support. A 3S 600–850 mAh LiPo battery can be used for power. Two brushless motors with counter-rotating propellers provide enough power for normal flying and basic aerobatic elements such as turns, somersaults, twists or inverted flight. The fixed landing gear with a steerable nose wheel makes taxiing, takeoff and landing on a smooth surface easier. Or you can remove the landing gear for higher speed and launch with the help of the automatic Hand Launch Assist mode. Positioning LED lighting is installed for good visibility.
Smart Spektrum electronics in the model offer a number of advantages that you won't find anywhere else. With a compatible transmitter (sold separately), you have a wide range of telemetry data available - battery voltage, current consumption, temperature and other data in real time. The model includes a control unit with an AS3X+ and SAFE electronic stabilization system . AS3X+ smooths out the effects of wind and turbulence for a smoother flight, and thanks to the SAFE system, the model is also suitable for intermediate pilots. The model is constructed from durable EPS reinforced with composite. There are plastic covers on exposed areas that provide protection when landing on the belly in the grass. In addition to the detailed cockpit with a clear cover and a pilot figure, a model cannon, rockets, an additional tank and a pipette tube can be attached to the model (parts are included in the package).
Information about the prototype – The OV-10 Bronco is one of the most famous twin-engine turboprop military aircraft of its time. It was developed in the 1960s as a multi-role aircraft for reconnaissance, combat control and direct support of ground troops. It saw its greatest use during the Vietnam War, where it excelled in counter-insurgency operations, airstrike guidance and reconnaissance missions. It later also proved its worth during Operation Desert Storm. Thanks to its ability to take off from short and unprepared areas, high durability and excellent visibility from the cabin, the Bronco became an extremely versatile aircraft. It served in various versions all over the world and some machines are still used today for special military and civilian tasks.
Skill Level 3 – Experience Required
Skill Level 3 aircraft are suitable for RC pilots who have experience with similar class models. And although this is the easiest to fly OV-10 Bronco model yet, it is not at all suitable for new pilots. You should have the experience and skills needed to successfully fly models such as the E-flite UMX Timbers, UMX Twin Otter, Micro DRACO, or Micro Scrappy.

Exclusive technology
This is the first OV-10 Bronco to feature Spektrum’s exclusive AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence, providing a sense of stability that makes you feel like you’re flying a much larger aircraft. The optional SAFE Select system prevents over-banking in turns and also limits climb and descent. Simply release the controller’s control sticks to neutral to return the model to level flight. SAFE Select also features an automatic Hand Launch Assist mode that senses the force of a hand-throw and adds elevator, making takeoffs easier.
Control unit
The model is equipped with a control unit that includes a 2-in-1 Spektrum receiver and controller. This advanced electronics provides real-time battery voltage and additional telemetry with compatible Spektrum AirWare-equipped transmitters (including DX6e, DX8e, DX6 G2/G3 and G2, DX9, NX6 to NX20, iX12 to iX20).
High performance
The factory-installed dual-power system features two (3S) outrunner brushless motors with counter-rotating propellers. This powertrain configuration provides excellent speed, vertical performance, and flight time when using the recommended 3S LiPo 30C+ 600-850mAh LiPo batteries with IC2 connector.
Detachable chassis
You can use the included fixed landing gear with steerable nose wheel for taxiing, takeoff and landing on smooth surfaces. Or you can remove the landing gear for faster takeoffs, hand-launching with automatic Hand Launch Assist and finally landing on grass.
Durable construction
The model's EPS foam construction offers more realistic scale details than typical small UMX-class models. The lower parts of the engine nacelles are reinforced with durable plastic, while the nose, tail spars and other stressed parts are reinforced with composite reinforcement. This makes the model strong and rigid, while maintaining a low weight.
