1:72 Vultee P-66 Vanguard

Information about the template:

The Vultee P-66 Vanguard was an American all-metal fighter aircraft with retractable landing gear, the complicated and long development of which discouraged two main potential customers – the Americans and the British themselves. However, the Swedes showed interest in the aircraft, ordering 144 in February 1940.

The first production units were completed in September 1941, but due to the impending war, the export of the aircraft was blocked – the Americans kept the P-66s for training purposes. Only later were a significant number of these aircraft exported to China, where they served as combat aircraft.
