Corgi Toys 107 - Bat Boat With Batman & Robin (Reissue)

The model was added to CORGI's offer in 1967 – after the "Bat Boat" appeared in the Batman movie from the previous year. The problem of connecting this iconic vessel to the original 1966 CORGI Batmobile model (which was not equipped with a towing device) was solved by a small plastic sleeve that fit precisely over the Batmobile's jet exhaust.

Information about the original

The early version of the Bat Boat from CORGI was based on an already existing cabin boat model, the "Dolphin 20," on a metal trailer (which was part of Gift Set 31 and was attached to the Buick Riviera car). It can be distinguished from the later version from the "Whizzwheels" era by the graphics and Batman logo on the vertical fin, flames on the sides of the hull, and the protective cage around the lighthouse situated between the figures of Batman and Robin.
