A plastic kit of a Czechoslovakian single-seat glider of mixed construction, the development of which began in the 1970s. The prototype of this engineless machine, of which 225 were built, first flew in 1976. Serial production then took place from 1976 to 1990. Thanks to its excellent flight characteristics and performance, the Gradient became very popular, especially in aero clubs, where it replaced the older type of glider VT-116 Orlík II.
