Axial SCX30 Jeep CJ-7 is an incredibly small expedition RC model car in 1:30 scale, yet it retains all the functions, details, and driving characteristics of larger models. Despite its length of just 14 cm, it offers complete equipment for overcoming obstacles and countless hours of fun. The model features multi-point suspension, permanent 4x4 drive, proportional throttle and steering control, and a detailed licensed ABS body with front and rear LED lighting. Everything necessary for operation is included – the model comes with complete electronics and a powerful brushed motor, and the package includes a steering transmitter, a 2S LiPo 160 mAh battery, and a USB charger.
The design of the body varies according to the chosen color variant.
- The red variant is designed as CJ-7 GenRight Crawler with an open cabin and frame construction.
- The green variant is designed as Classic Renegade with a solid removable roof.
The SCX30 platform chassis features angled protective guards that allow the model to easily slide over obstacles. The straight axles with angled links provide high ground clearance. Fully functional suspension is supported by coil-over shocks. Power from the Axial 88T motor is transmitted to the wheels via the transmission and drive shafts, with ball bearings used in the drivetrain for smooth operation. The officially licensed tires are made from a soft compound for high traction.
CJ-7 GenRight Crawler
The red color variant in the GenRight Crawler body design features an airy open cabin with protective frame construction, as is iconic for this off-road vehicle. The interior of the model is meticulously designed, including seats, steering wheel, and gear shift.
CJ-7 Classic Renegade
The green color variant in the Classic Renegade body design features a removable roof that allows for easy alteration of the model's appearance. The doors contain windows, and there is a simple protective frame above the rear seats. This variant also has a fully detailed interior with seats, steering wheel, and gear shift.

The Mickey Thompson Baja Boss M/T tires on the GenRight Crawler version are inspired by real off-road tires. The bold tread pattern and intricate sidewall details give the model an authentic off-road look. The soft rubber compound adapts to surface irregularities and ensures reliable traction on rocks, dirt, and technically demanding obstacles. Factory-installed foam inserts help maintain a realistic tire shape and even contact surface with the ground.

The Goodyear Wrangler Boulder MT tires on the Classic Renegade version offer a classic off-road appearance with a rugged tread designed for versatile use. The soft rubber compound combined with factory-installed foam inserts provides good traction while helping to maintain a realistic shape and performance of the tires.

The American Racing AR23 wheels feature a timeless off-road appearance and a clean, functional design that complements the classic character of the CJ-7. The white wheels have wide star-shaped spokes.

Powerful SCX30 Chassis
The high-performance chassis with multi-point suspension of the straight axles also incorporates angled protective covers, which help you overcome challenging obstacles. This feature is typically found only on larger crawlers. Angled axles and high-clearance arms help prevent snagging on obstacles.
Transmission
The SCX30 platform transmission is easily accessible for maintenance. Tuning gears from SCX24 models can also be used for this model.

Spektrum SLT2 2.4 GHz Transmitter
The two-channel Spektrum SLT2 transmitter offers a range of useful features, including throttle and steering trim settings and throttle limiting. It is ergonomically designed for long, fatigue-free use and has a foam steering wheel for precise control. The RTR package includes AA batteries for the transmitter.
Spektrum Electronics
Spektrum brand electronics are placed low in the chassis, improving the model's center of gravity. The model is supplied with a powerful Spektrum 2S LiPo battery and a 0.5 A USB-C charger for fast, easy, and above all, safe charging.
Control Unit
The control unit integrates a 2.5 A brushed controller and a receiver with SLT protocol. It includes four driving modes, adjustable braking, and LVC protection against LiPo battery under-voltage, and a shutoff function after 10 minutes of inactivity.
